Her body language still doesn't seem authentic to me. I'm sensitive to gestures and micro expression. Someone who is fully focused and aware to an observer, seeing their better side of the face, is a sign of dishonesty and lack of authenticity. She never shows her right side even when she realized there was a bird at her window on her left, she avoided turning her face 6:50
And when ever it seems like she is, it truly is just a mirroring of her always focused left side.

My dad once told that he feels like everyone else is a grown up and he's just pretending. He's nearly 60 now and still feels like that. I'm 35 and feel the same as I did at 18 and can't believe I have a father who's nearly 60 when HE should be the 35 year old. The idea that my son sees me as a grown up hits me sometimes. One day he will know that I was just pretending to be one this whole time too...
I'm 25 and I feel the same. I'm slowly learning nobody knows what they are doing, some just know how to pretend better.

This is so odd to me. I'm 35 in a couple days and no way in hell I feel 18. 18 was a lifetime ago. My dad is 71 and I'm pretty sure he feels like an adult. He's lived a lot of life.
This is exactly how I feel. I’m 26,and I don’t drive either so I feel even less of an adult lol.

Your authenticity is so rare & such a breath of fresh air! Girls never feel “good enough.” You’re right, the closer we get to an “ideal,” the less good we feel inside. You can’t put foundation over gaping emotional wounds. It’s really time we stopped this crap ie the filters, the photoshop, the plastic surgery tweaks & the endless cycle of still not cutting it. The truth is that perfection is an illusion & tbh, our flaws & quirks make us who we are. Thank you for showing us the real & vulnerable aspects of yourself. This really hit me hard in this head when Amber mentioned about the “perfect right time”. I always made excuses of not start doing stuff bcz I want to wait for the right time. However, like she said “the perfect right time is when you start doing it.”

i was always the chubby, weirdo, emo girl in high school and amber makes me feel so safe. i feel like she would be the pretty girl that i thought was so cool. i feel that she would say hi to me in the halls and always be so nice to me. idk man she seems so loving and uplifting.

I started watching Amber in high school, my senior year I went through a very rough time, being in an abusive relationship where I eventually was raped twice. I gained a lot of weight by eating my pain away, I've hated my body... Even to this day. My depression has gotten worse but whenever I watch Amber's videos I don't feel alone. It's a safe space to where I wont feel judged or be made fun of because I'm over weight. Her advice always makes me feel better.
I'm so so sorry you went through that 😟 I experienced something similar and it's so hard to love and care for your body properly when you've felt like it has betrayed you or you've lost control of it at some point. Thank you so much, I really needed to hear this today. It helps to know I’m not alone because sometimes life can feel pretty lonely. I suffer from depression and to be honest I have never felt beautiful in my life. I felt pretty on my wedding day, but not beautiful. I completely get the break downs 17 times a day, I’m right there along side you. I would like to learn how to do makeup properly so I could sometimes pretend I’m someone who has their life together and looks beautiful and sexy. I don’t even know what that would feel like, even to pretend.

Thank you for being so open & honest. Also, I can definitely relate to living with that pressure of being perfect. As a woman, I’m expected to wear makeup, be fully dressed, go to my 9-5, come home to cook dinner, maintain a clean household, be there for friends & family, be there for your partner, etc. There’s only so many hours in a day & sometimes I don’t have time for all of this. I know that I’m doing ok in life as long as I’m trying my best, because I can’t give anything more than my best ya know? But whenever I don’t get to everything on my list I feel like a failure.

I really wish more youtubers or IG models would do this. Wish it was a trend to show what happens off social media or off camera & embrace it. I'm a mom & only get dressed up or look nice about once or twice a week, never really have me time, so I usually feel down or wish I looked like other women I see on social media. I really really needed this, thank you.
I understand the way you feel, I have two kids and between the house and the kids I don’t have time for myself and I’m ok with that because I like the house clean and have time for the kids, but my husband don’t appreciate that. He start telling me that I have to look different and put make up on, but I feel that is either the house clean or me looking pretty. Is really stressing.

Thanks for this girl! I have gained over 30 pounds in a year. My depression was so bad, I went on antidepressants and even though I feel SOOO much better I hate how I look. And you know what. My bipolar meds make me gain weight too. The only thing i found that lets me stay on my meds and keep my typical weight is cutting out breads, pasta, etc and eating way less meat. Weird but works. For years egven running and exercising wouldnt help

Something I live by is “you’ll never get over and past the emotion if you don’t allow yourself to feel it.” You have to allow yourself to be imperfect to end up happy. Realizing it’s okay to cry and be angry and be scared is so important, because if you don’t allow yourself to feel it, you’ll never move on and feel the next emotion❤️

The spider part made me laugh way too hard because I’m 21 and my mum went away for one night last night, and I ended up on all 4s on the kitchen bench, hysterically crying, trying to spray a spider for an hour lmao

Ahhh one time I was looking for something that fell behind a weird spot, saw a black widow, freaked out and couldn't get off the thing I was laying on, was getting sick and started running a fever and the ancient dog who needed help gettinf up made me cry. Oh no! I can relate to this so much! I'm 23 & one night I was just chilling in bed, watching TH-cam, when a giant spider decided to hang down from its web right in front of my face! I leaped out of bed & spent at least an hour, going back & forth trying to figure out where it was on my bed, while trying to convince myself I could catch it. I was in tears at the end because I just wanted to relax in bed & I had all my blankets on the floor at this point. I finally got it but kept feeling like there were spiders everywhere after that.

I’m watching this now as a more recent fan, I’ve already been going in a depression spiral and I was bawling my eyes watching this. This is exactly what it feels like in your mid 20’s and you haven’t graduated school or your disabled or don’t have a job and live at home and you see all your friends who have made it there and you just think, is any of it even real. I needed this, I cried my eyes out amber thank you for validating everyone and me. I wish I could hug you just to have a sparkle of your light. I really have not truly expressed what this video means to me. Truly.
Amber I genuinely love you as a human and I cannot thank you enough for sharing this, not just for me but for all the people who watch your videos and who get to grow up and learn all this from you. It sure took me a long time to learn it alone, so here's to being imperfect.

i’ve always considered my best self to be when i’m most calm/ happy, i may look a mess but knowing that my children are happy and healthy, that i have a full time job, that I have time for also doing things i love is everything.. i may not be this hot IG model but i’m happy ❤️ and living for your confidence and realness ❤️

@@gratefulchick917 it helps break the illusion of perfection and helps us realize that the pressure to be perfect is a mindset instilled in us all by toxic standards portrayed by the media, not just in beauty and appearance but in all walks of life. We don’t have to be perfect, we just have to be where we are and be gentle and loving with ourselves, bc I do think in a way perfection does exist, but in a different way... in the way that we are all already perfect EXACTLY as we are, that doesn’t mean we stop striving to grow and change and evolve over time, but helps us realize that where we are right now, is exactly where we are supposed to be right now otherwise we would be elsewhere.
I am a 43 year old mother in South Africa and I feel the EXACT same pressure to be perfect! Maybe not as intensely as you because I don't have a huge following, but still, the pressure is real. And you are right, the more we try to look and be perfect, the crazier we feel. There is NO such thing as perfect.
