What Shannon Does…….. is Allow his guests to speak THEIR Truth! He has a conversation with his guests, his show is not to “hold” his guests to the”fire” that’s why his show is successful!

I have one thing I wanna say to you. As a 49yr old FAT BLACK WOMAN, I’ve experienced EVERYTHING that Monique has. It’s sad that people ALWAYS find some kinda way to find FAULT in EVERYTHING we say🤨 So now that it’s known that what Monique said was TRUE, NOW she’s LOUD. Why? Because she’s outspoken? Because she spoke her TRUTH? Why did she need to speak up for herself in TEARS? Why must she HUMBLE herself to people who are doing HER WRONG? Dineva that’s not fair! Did your mom/aunt speak in a soft tearful voice when she demanded respect from her employer? Or did she stand on her 2 good feet and SPEAK UP FOR-HERSELF WITH AUTHORITY?! Why does she have to move LIKE Taraji? Taraji is Taraji and Monique has the RIGHT to be MONIQUE.

When Monique said they not about to see her crying or broken I felt that. I get that often. She should speak with conviction and certainty because this is her truth. She’s done nothing wrong. And as far as she’s still complaining ..so what? Her wrongs have not been made right and others are now speaking up. So when will these inequalities be remedied?

Monique can't have it both ways.
      1. She said she fulfilled her contract in one breath, then say THEY OWN HER MORE MONEY.
      2. You can't be rude then wants everyone to listen to you.
      3. You can't say that yes I was being difficult on sets, BUT PEOPLE IS LYING SAYING I AM HARD TO WORK WITH.
      4. You can't say someone who has worked with you and says you are difficult to work with are spreading rumor. THEY ARE SPREADING RUMORS? IT IS THERE EXPERIENCE WHILE WORKING WITH YOU.
      5. AT SOME POINT MONIQUE HAS TO TAKE ACCOUNTABILITY FOR THE PARTS SHE PLAYS IN THIS.

Funky , that mentality that everyone has to play the game is why the game won’t change. Not enough people have the balls to stop playing so the game can change and that’s Mo’s whole point. No body has a back bone. Nobody is willing to stand up for themselves or others . The game is nasty and it don’t have to be. The game ain’t working for black people and to tell black women to take the scraps and just go is sad and why Mo is upset. Only a few have the leadership quality to take the bullets to free the rest and she’s willing to be that person

There's a difference. He's not stereotyping all woman as that, while ppl ARE stereotyping when they say sassy or zesty etc. He said exactly WHO he was speaking about and then said some of yall. He was specific. You're looking to be offended or you wouldn't hv written this. That's why I personally always listen atleast twice to something that I think truly offends me to the core. I find most of the time that I hear it differently the second time around. He didn't say all black women are nice-nasty. There's the difference.

Her being QUIET in the beginning lead to the movie being a hit an it earned her an Oscar. Unlike Taraji she shared her grievances during the press tour n possibly torpedoed the movie. My black Caribbean relatives and friends as well as my black American friends and myself have this discussion often. My husband got into an argument with another Haitian man and the wife chimed in and said to my husband “that’s why your children are mixed!” 😲🤔What?? I’m what way did DL clear Monique …
The first 30 seconds he calls her a liar then jumps instantly into pulling the segment. So everything she mentioned before that happened and you just want accountability for pulling the segment … everything said after is irrelevant. The entire Mo’nique take was a huge L take

I'm sick of Monique. Taraji signed the contract. If she had a problem with pay, she should check with her managers and/or agents. We never hear from Monique until she is given an opportunity to continue her beef with Oprah, Tyler, and Lee.

Funky, can I holla at Nessa for a minute?..Guuurl I can NOT believe that Monique has been telling her truth for YEARS, and some people STILL don't get it!! People LIED about Monique, ruined her reputation, tried to pay her pennies for her resume, caused her family to experience hardship, etc. and SHE gets flack for speaking on it the way she sees fit??? Anybody honest with themselves would go hard and be loud too if somebody treated them the same way!THIS is precisely WHY she continues to speak out..the injustice she continues to experience is beyond next level..there's so much more that can be said, but I'll just have a seat in the pew as a continued Monique supporter..I GET her, always have and always will..nah here go my 5 lollas fuh da plate..😅

I will always applaud Monique for standing for herself in the way that she did. If she had stayed quiet or exposed the industry in a gentle way then no one would have remembered what she said or paid attention. Thanks to Monique now people are aware that Netflix underpays black female comedians, and that Oprah, Tyler, & Lee Daniels will blackball you if you don't bow down to them.

How did you Black Americans end up in the Americas??? The Whites brought you here via kidnapping.
So, you're transplants...other blacks do not come to the USA because of You. That's an emotional non factual statement.
Do you know how much money the US government makes from African immigration and tourism? Go get informed. The Anglo- Saxxons in this country Allow other Blacks in because it benefits them.
African immigrants spend thousands on education.
You Blacks have no say / no power to let anyone in or out of this country, Ok. Let's get the Facts, straight....
Now, other blacks ( African, Carribbean, etc), do have to kiss your hand...they do have to Respect and pay homage to their Black Americans sisters and brothers.
Who Died so that Other Blacks can enjoy many freedoms in this country.
I agree with that...Respect black americaans and All of the bridges that they built along with the gates that they have opened.

I will not watch the Club Shay Shay interview because of that. Thanks for covering it and being honest!!! Love you Funky, keep speaking truth!! Mo is just too bitter for me.
