I'm half way through the video and i absolutely love that you have both versions and compare them visually. I'm still about 80 percent certain I'll get this when i start my home gym in a couple of months!
I recently added this to my home gym and love it! I already have leg ext and curl machine (french fitness) and cable stacks (bells of steel) and this really fills in the gaps for posterior chain work. Plus, add ankle straps with cable stack and reverse hypers are evwn better than the scout (imo)
On leg curls is it possible to increase the angle beyond 20 degrees. Research shows seated curls are more advantageous for hypertrophy when compared to lying leg curls. The greater the angle (to more closely mimic seated leg curls) the better.
I wonder if the future iterations of the Nordic Pro's handles will eventually have a pop pin in them that "click" into the frames' handles (just need a drilled hole)
It's possible. I go back and forth on if I would actually want that. Overall, I think I'd like that better but by not locking in, the handles can be at different positions based on how wide you are.
Great review and delivery of the content!! I currently own the v2 of the Nordic Hyper GHD when they first introduced the color knobs. You mentioned the Hyper Pro Upgrade Kit will get you 90% there. Is the remaining 10% just missing out on the additional adjustment positions that were added with the Pro?
Outstanding review. Much appreciated! My only qualms and its preventing me from pulling tfe trigger is the 14 gauge steel. Do you think its is beefy enough and will it stand the test of time. It would be just mevwith an occasional workout partner. Want it to last for years to come.
I honestly don't think it will be an issue. I've used the Nordic Hyper GHD for quite a while with no issues at all before I got the new Hyper apro for review.
From what the co-owner told me, they've tested with people your size no problem. It's hard for me to say personally. It handles me easily so I know it can handle a bigger person. That said, I'm 6 ft, 195. 4 inches and 125 more lbs is a big jump so I'd hate to say yes and it not work out for you.
In your opinion, are the head to head features better on this machine than that of the TBG Nordic Back Extension V2? Also, do the added features this machine provides justify the increased cost over the TBG?
I do think so. The new GHD attachment is phenomenal. As far as the TBG comparison, it honestly just depends. I love that machine, it just doesn't have nearly as many functions. If you're okay spending the money for the extra functions, go with the Hyper Pro. If the TBG NBE does all the functions you care about, buy that one and save a chunk of money.
Been waiting 8 months now after Oct 30 I guess i get this leg Developer until January or February. 2025.Install a weight bench attachment while i wait longer.
I have ordered this. I like to find additional iterations for home gym equipment, so do you think there are other exercises this could be used for? i.e. row/pressing moves, other ab moves when used with a cable machine etc?
Oh, it could be used for several more exercises. I put a video out a few weeks ago with the old version and come up with 18 exercise (if I remember correctly) in 20 min.
It will be up on the website. They had some issues with the site and had to take the page down. That's why I unlisted the video. They told me everything should be good to launch this product tomorrow at 12 pm ET.
Hey Ryan, is the FA Hyper Pro easier to wheel around than the TibBarGuy NBE V2? I found the TibBarGuy one to be a little clunky to roll around because of its shape/weight.
Hey Ryan, thanks for the amazing review! You really explained the product well 💪 A few things to note as a follow up: 1. We never actually released the older Leg Developer model. This was a protoype shown at launch, and all preorder customers were upgraded for FREE! 2. In Reverse Hyper mode, to get full range, use the GHD Attachment with the footplate declined down to 20° or 30°. Extremely important - scoot forward on the pad like I do here: th-cam.com/video/I-e3Vlm9pro/w-d-xo.htmlsi=2cpuZe1uG_6DyzZt&t=308 In that clip, I'm at height level 8, but if you set it to level 12 with the steps mentioned above, you should get full range, even at 6' 5"!
The video you linked is set to private - you'll want to set it to "unlisted" 🙂 Additional question: I'm an owner of the previous "V1.5" which I pre-ordered as a bundle with the leg developer. Is there a way for me to purchase the upgraded GHD pad without splurging for the full upgrade kit? I don't really like the "pro padding" so I'm not interrested in the Pro Upgrade Kit.
Great points! And I guess I never realized the old leg developer was never released to the public. I thought this leg developer was a v2 rather than the finalized v1
Do you mean are the tolerances the same as the old machine? If so, I can't say for sure. I couldn't tell just by using the machine. The base is much more stable but that has to do with how it was redesigned moreso than tolerances.
I have short legs, which always presents problems on the 45 degree hyperextension. What’s the measurement from the foot plate to the top of the pad in the shortest configuration?
Do you think this would really work for someone five foot tall for doing back extensions? In the video it look like you are only a notch or two from the bottom. I would hate to get this thing and my wife not be able to use it for the primary exercise we are getting it for.
Shortest position from footplate to top of pads is 31". So you should measure this distance on a bck extension you like or measure from your heel to your hip. As long as this is not less than 31" you should be fine!
I have a 5'1 client who I have to back extensions on the regular hyper, and she has no problems at all. I don't think I even have it at the lowest notch
Better review than GGR.
That's some high praise my friend. Thank you!

I'm glad the video was helpful! Good choice. This thing would definitely be one of my first pick ups if I had to start over.
Great review, Ryan. I especially love the side by side visual comparison.
I'm glad it was helpful for you!
@@RyanTreadaway It was very useful. The main pitfalls you mentioned, thankfully don't impact me, as I'm 5ft2. I need to get this past the wife now 😂

This machine is a Beast! Major bang for the buck! Great space saver too for limited floor plans!!
Most definitely! I'm absolutely loving it
Good review! Better product. Early October is gonna be like Christmas when the Pro upgrade and Leg developer show up at my front door! :D
Hey Jeremy! Thanks man. You're going to love it!
shipping date is oct 30 so don’t expect to have massive legs for halloween
@@davves69 gonna have to just make do with your barbell and dumbbells until then. 💪
Very very good review, great work
Thank you!
UPDATE - launch is delayed by 24 hours, we will go live on August 27!
Does the leg attachment work for the non pro Nordic hyper? I ordered the leg extension thing and I didn't even know there was a pro version.
It works on all versions!

You can technically go to 25° yes

How does the leg developer attached to the original? I’m still waiting due to the redesign.
It attaches to the original the same way it attaches to the new machine.
Hey Ryan, is the FA Hyper Pro easier to wheel around than the TibBarGuy NBE V2? I found the TibBarGuy one to be a little clunky to roll around because of its shape/weight.
Yes and no. The FA is heavier but the TBG has that weird issue where it isn't locked into place when in the flat position.

Do you recommend it to do a benchpress?
Definitely not. You CAN use it for bench press but it's not the appropriate width or length for a bench press bench.
Are the tolerances the same in parts and machining?

31" in shortest and 44" in tallest

even if not ideal, could i also use this for dumbbell bench press, and if so, at how many angles in which direction(s)
No. It's way too wide. It'd feel similar to doing a floor press.
