Just did an entire family camp on the mattress last night for the first time and it was really comfortable (2 adults and 2 kids). As long as it holds up to many many uses it’s likely going to be worth the investment. Thanks for checking it out lmk if you have any questions 😎
I have a 6 foot nissan frontier box but I made my own cap because I couldn't find a used hightop, too $$$ new so I made one... I am a carpenter so it looks decent and I needed headroom.. anyways I used to camp with my boys 2... it was a tight fit, now oldest is bigger than me and 3 dont fit snymore... good luck fitting the family in. I now sleep in a pup tent when camping and they get the luxury cap....
Hey Seth, thanks for the video. I am on the fence about purchasing this bed depending on if it has held up over the past 10 months for you? Is it still a great investment? I am also considering the EXPED mega mat. I plan on using in my truck like you are and also in my tent when I tent camp.
Thanks for checking it out! It’s held up really well and definitely comfortable for me, take into account its been slept on maybe 1-3 times a month since purchase. I also use it on top of a queen air mattress when we have guests and the kids use it as a crash pad so it’s got multi uses for us. The one thing to consider is that if you fold it up for a single bed use it doesn’t have the “soft side” on top. I am going to experiment with taking one side pad out so I can use it as a single but still get the comfy side (and not double height). The other big benefit is that it does fold up, making it easier to transport but still not as compact and packable as a blow up like the mega mat. I think that’s probably going to be your biggest consideration (outside of price ofc), whether or not you can have a mattress like the hest fit in your vehicle during transport always, or if you will need one that can pack down.
@@SethWild Great! Thank you for getting back to me so quickly bro. Thanks for the food for thought as well. I think I am going to go ahead and try the Hest. I see that Hest rolls their singles up and if I can use one of my straps to keep it cinched shut I should get it to a size better to work with for storage. I have not had much luck with inflatables mattresses lately especially on the road. I was driving from Missouri to Wyoming to do some camping and I got lazy and forgot to deflate mattress while on the road. Well the elevation changed while driving into Wyoming and so did the pressure of the air inside the mattress and I ended up losing sleep having to patch it up that night before bed.
Can’t wait for the next camping video! Keep up the good work. Love the videos!
Thanks so much for reviewing this mattress! I couldn't find any other ones that weren't advertisements. I love that your kids reviewed it too :D

It seems pretty comfortable but time will tell. Good luck with the build you’ve got planned!

Looks like a good buy. Money well spent. How long did it have to off gas to get rid of the smell?
It’s been very comfortable so far. I’d say it took about 2-3 days to be fully gone (airing it indoors).
Can you sit straight up on your bed in your camper or do you have to hunch over

Has anyone found any folding longwise alternatives to this guy? Looks awesome just a little out of my budget.
At 5’10 does your feet hang over a little bit?
Hi Seth, speaking of sizes, did your nephew get upset that you stole his t-shirt? Thank you
There is another company that makes sheets for this mattress.
Does it still smell?
The smell dissipated over a week or so, it's definitely not an issue anymore!

The shitty cooler…. 😂!
Obviously, basically, obviously, essentially, actually…….
