Thanks for sharing I wish I would have known that some family and friends would not support my business but wanted all items for free. Glad I have social media to have my back. Thanks for all your videos they are an inspiration to me.

Family and friends will not support your business for the most part. Do not know why, but do not let that get you down. A lot of entrepreneurs go through the same thing. Before you know it, they will want to buy your products.

That part about self care though - so true - it’s so easy to think it’s ok to stay up til 1 am and neglect yourself.

You sound like I wrote your script. Everything you wish you knew are exactly my wishes as well. It just took me a lot longer to shift. Continued success to you.

What a lovely way to wake up and start my day, “I’m not young” that made me laugh, you are such a sweet girl, I love your approach, you always put a smile on my face. Great advice for others. From a nearly 78yr old grandmother who started making soap last year but not selling.

I appreciate this video and three things that you said that hit me: 1. Know when/how to say NO. I often wonder about "what ifs" and then ask myself should I do it? or do I want to do it just because the money sounds "nuff" 2. Not compare myself to other queens in the business and 3. Take care of myself. I always wondered when I see a few business owners and they have dark eye bags and you can see that they are tired and I wonder, do they use their own products? (maybe am the only one who thinks this) but self care is indeed important as well as go on a vacay for awhile. close shop. Mek the ppl dem long fi see you come back (lol) So yes Queen thank you for these great reminders.

Thanks for sharing. I go through the same thing learning to say No. I had to stop buying fragrances that customers wanted, making a one time purchase then the fragrance would sit on the shelf and go rancid. Not any more!!

Such great advice, thanks!! One thing I would do is not try to make things for everybody but make what you truly love. So focus on the target market but keep within your values.

I have the same problem when I'm working on something I'm passionate about-- I forget to eat, drink water, shower, sleep, etc. I just get so focused and obsessed with finishing! Lol. And before I know it, I'm a total mess.

Thank you so much for sharing this information. I'm a soap maker too. Have been doing it for about 2 years and I didn't have a specific direction. This really helped to put things in perspective. Thank you.

Great video and so timely!! That last one... I needed to hear that! I have long covid and am recovering from covid pneumonia so pacing and self-care have become the vitally important. I knew that before but I just didn't do it.

Hi! You are so funny, real & inspiring. I think I'd like to try doing this, retiring soon. But ... I will not be doing anything on social media. I think I just told my age. Selling from home pt sounds good to me. And I did subscribe. I had too. Lol.

hI, I am a new subscriber. I am so confused on the guideline labeling subject. i saw your video and then I headed to your website to learn how to carry out the insight. PLEASE share how an individual can describe a product ex a sugar scrub as "exfoliating" or "moisterizing" does using these words mean I have to pay for fda testing?
