How to make beginner Butterfly Balloon Wand Decorations!
Here are the step by step instructions if the video is
a bit too fast:
•Inflate a stretched 260 almost all the way leaving a
little tail.
•Measure 11 hand-lengths (4 fingers each length)
and tie a loop.
•Fold the loop in half and then twist at the loop base
to form two smaller even loops.
•Measure a pair of 8-finger cylinders and secure
them.
•Snip the tail tip and tie the deflated tail into the
wings' center.
•Turn 8-finger cylinders into matching petal twists,
then shape the wings
•Stretch a pair of 260s and inflate them evenly with
8-finger tails.
•Link the nozzles.
•Tightly spiral the balloons about 7 rotations or so, and twist at the spiral top creating two equally-sized cylinders with tails.
•Place the butterfly wings between these portions, then secure them via a hearty spin, leaving about 4-fingers of balloon inflated for the antennae.
•Tie a small balloon scrap at the top of the spiral so it doesn’t come undone (make sure it matches so it can be camouflaged) and snip off the excess.
•Finally, twist each antenna portion in half, then perform the puffball tip technique (as shown) to form the bouncy matching antennae.
