I live in SoCal, so just like most places it’s warm in the summer and cold in the winter. Water temperature plays a big role in what I wear and so does the sun. I don’t want to get sun burn on my feet. Crocs work year round in both fresh and salt water. When the water is warm I wear Lycra socks and when it’s 58° in the winter I wear waterproof socks. (Amazon) This works so well for me that I don’t even think about it anymore. I’m always comfortable.
@@constantinshim4271 Yes, Crocks are very comfortable! Lycra locks help prevent sunburn during the summer months and waterproof socks keep you warm in the winter when the water’s cold. Give it a shot, you won’t be disappointed.
I like my $40 Reef Boots. Yeah they’re like clown shoes but I don’t have to worry about getting cut up on oysters or losing them in calf deep mud. My kayak rides pretty wet so I don’t really notice my wet feet.
I live in Florida, Tampa, for over 35 years and beside fishing, I also love to surf, and I'm cheap lol. So when it's cold I wear my 3\2mm wetsuit, 5mm booties and wading boots. Along with life jacket of course for winter wading\kayak fishing...been doing this for 20 plus years when kayaks started to come on the fishing scene. Never had an issue. For me though, not necessarily recommending for others. For warm weather I wear some cheap beat up shoes that I don't care about.

P.S. For fishing in cold winter a good SCUBA dry suit is nice to have.
I need some new kayak boots. Thanks for this review.
Crocs when the water is warm. Neoprene booties when it's cold.
Nice discussion - good luck with the eye !!
Crocs 🐊
You only have to hit one oyster to wish you had some type of shoe
Have you tried Mucks boots?
Those XTRATUF boots seem to be outa stock and academy sports isn't carrying them anymore.
Barefoot Max water shoe for me.
The only correct answers are flip flops or bare.
Yeah, so, Fliprocks doesn't have women's sizes 🙄
So sorry to hear this! We have several women on our team and they struggle with finding sizes as well.
