I like how this isn't a diss song. He truly feels bad for whatever went down between them and is basically apologizing. That's awesome and many artists don't do that.

Julia Michaels was kinda the same with him though, to be honest. In Falling for Boys there's a line where she says "dyeing their hair blue, sh*t out here is getting scary" referencing Lauv just after he broke up with her and dyed his hair blue and you can tell in the video that she knows everyone knows who she's talking about cause she has this small smile on her face when she sings it. She doesn't reference him by name like Lauv does to her, but they're both pretty straight up about it tbh

This is honestly my favorite song on the album just because of how vulnerable and raw it is. Not many artists nowadays know how to be open and honest about how they feel, especially when it means admitting their flaws and mistakes. I will always appreciate Lauv for this.

Lauv is an amazing artist because he writes what he feels. This song is trully raw and honest, its not easy to open up about a past relationship that you've messed up. They were in a right person wrong time situation, so even though they loved each other, julia couldnt help him. So they fell apart, but its not easy to move on when you have just met a true love, even julia writes down "its been a year now thinking i figure out now, how to think about you without ripping my heart down" ; "I know we werent made for each other and its fine".
They're both amazing artist. I can relate to every song, so i kinda understand the pain in their chest
