    I was the City of LA Inspector for the remodel, when I first got there for a walk through pre inspection I did not know whose house it had been.I told the owner "this house is so depressing, it's got a bad feeling about it". The Windows were small and had wrought iron cages around them, it had a sunken shower with old yellow and brown tile. Some hallways, you had to walk sideways to walk through! The doors were substandard width. Then the owner told me who had owned the House and I got a chill. So sad.

      Ya I'd never step foot in there, that heaviness will remain within as long as it stands no matter how someone pretties it up. 👻

      The house looks like a maze, full of corridors and little windows and doors everywhere, the room where she died 1:54 must be scary to live there, the room energy of her death will always be there, only that room has the answer for everything that happened. In fact, I think the doctor and the housekeeper know everything and are involved in the case and they both traced the scene of the death, according to the expert reports she would have been dead since 22:45 at night, but they only called the police at 4: 25 in the morning. The woman said she was still alive when the doctor arrived and the doctor said she was already dead, one of the nurses who was in the residence stated that she was still in a coma. For me, the housekeeper gave her the enema on the orders of the doctor and the fatality happened.

    Too bad her house wasn't kept as a museum. What I find odd is that I read that during renovations in 1972, the new owner, Veronica Hamel discovered a sophisticated eavesdropping and phone tapping system that covered every room in the house and which cost $100,000 to remove. What ever happened to the evesdropping system that was removed? Was it thrown in the garbage? This could be evidence that would advance the idea that there was foul play in her death.

    I really like this house and that Spanish Hacienda style. Marilyn was said to be so proud of her first home and that it had a garden and a swimming pool. Modest for a big Hollywood Star but she wasn't enormously wealthy, from the studio system that kept her locked into a fixed contract, nor did she much cared to be. They did a great job of renovating and re-furbishing, modern and light but keeping the character and cosiness. The last hours of her death will forever be a mystery but I don't believe she committed suicide.

    Such a beautiful modest comfortable house inside and out. Can truly see why she'd want this home even though she could have probably afforded something bigger and more luxurious I think this suits her personality to the tee. Love the interior design with it's light hughes and colors to brighten up each room especially the splash of white on the walls, in the shower and on the comforter. If I owned this house, personally I would hang a huge poster of Marilyn in black and white on the wall in a thick wide antique frame as a commemoration to her home which I would feel like it still was her home to this day! So sad to see it now though knowing what an icon she was and still is but passed away way too young and so tragic at that. Even though it would be kind of hard to live in that house knowing she died there as well as how she died, still, I'm very happy to know that someone wants to live in that house to keep it up not only for their sake but I'm sure for Marilyn's too. She would be too happy to see how beautiful her home looks today. Kudos to the people living there now. Lucky them! R.I.P. M.M.

      I agree. I read the current owners took the number off the mailbox outside to keep fans and media away. They complain they always have people trespassing on their property to get a look at Marilyn's home. Why did they buy it? It's one of the most famously known homes in history. I think it should be open to the public like Graceland.

    Very well done by the Los Angeles City Council and the entire country, Marilyn Monroe's house should be respected because it is a living historical monument, of what has been one of the biggest stars in the world, followed by the entire world. Marilyn's house is untouchable and that's how it has to be, not everything in this life is worth money, much less destroying the history and culture of a country.

    For such a big star, the house she bought was actually a fairly modest one by Hollywood standards. I'm sure she enjoyed the nice pool but, otherwise, the place wasn't anything all that elegant. It has been redone several times. The pool is likely original. Looks like low ceilings and the wood makes it cabin like. Very different than what MM had when she lived there. She had nothing, just a mattress on the floor. So ? she was waiting for her furniture but she had a maid.

I was just a kid, but I do remember seeing her in the movies. At the time I don't think that too many people knew about her personal troubles. Over the years, as more information has come out, we've learned a lot about her life and death. We've also learned that you can't trust anyone and never threaten powerful people. RIP Marilyn

      No Hoover as they involved. Bobby Kennedy was at her house twice that day - he was to blame. I am into dog rescue and wonder what happened to her poor pup? So many are taken to shelters after owners pass. She would never have deliberately committed suicide with a tiny tot like that sweet pup depending on her. Owners are their dogs whole world. So tragic for all involved in this sad story. UPDATE: Maf was a gift from Frank Sinatra adopted by his secretary after Marilyn Monroe's death and later killed when hit by a car.

    • @linanicolia1994
      @linanicolia1994 5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Since Joe DiMaggio took over her funeral and sent flowers to her crypt every week, I expect he also took care of the dog. She also had many friends who would have made sure her little dog was taken care of. I agree with you. People do not want to die and leave their animals behind. It is their fear, they will go to a shelter. Gees, the poor dog was running around. So sad. Maybe he found her, after he passed. Animals and their human family do get reunited, if they both want it I expect she did get to see her dog again.

She had an affair with Jack for years and she thought he would leave Jackie for her. Not realistic. Anyway, the moral of the story is always the same. NEVER, ever threaten to go public with your shit. Just do it ! she may be alive today and JFK may not have been murdered. He would have had his ass kicked out of office and that could have saved him. Change your intentions and change history ! Interesting house but the price is too high. I guess the lot is large and it is Brentwood...

    When a couple bought this house in the early 70s-I think the woman was Connie Selena-they were doing some remodeling and discovered some wiring behind a wall, wiring that indicated that Marilyn’s phones were tapped. She was so proud if that charming little home she had purchased, the first one she had ever owned. She had gone to Mexico to buy furnishings, including a bunch of Mexican tile to use in the kitchen, which was still sitting out back when she died. It seems to me that Marilyn wouldn’t have gone to all that trouble if she was going to take her own life. She had also confided to her movie stand-in, a lovely blonde named Evie, that people would call her phone, than hang up, and that she was being followed by someone in a green card. Marilyn was very worried and frightened by all this. Evie said she KNEW that Marilyn would never, ever kill herself; she loved life and wanted to live. I never thought she committed suicide & was probably murdered by the Kennedy family because she’s been having an affair with JFK (and supposedly RFK) and when they were done with her, she didn’t appreciate the treatment and threatened to blab to the press about her relationship with them, so she had to be silenced.

She took a lot of pride in her home and it was her safe haven
