Thanks for right away, describing how much practice you had to put in, to get to even basic playing. It certainly doesn't happen overnight. I've had several students down through the years, who lasted for two or three lessons, then they were gone. It's going to require hurting fingers, weeks and months of regular practice to be able to decently play even basic guitar chords. That being said, the guitar is an amazing instrument and capable of wonderful music on many levels. Best wishes to all wanting to learn.
Thanks for this video. It encouraged me to keep dreaming about being a better guitar player and praise God with that. Now I just finished my first year at a music school. The hard way is sometimes better than the fastest. Now I must do music with all the theory I learned.
This 3 video series along with all these amazing videos I’ve just discovered on this channel are priceless, praise God and all you guys are doing for his kingdom through your work
You've been mentioning "wholistic approach for years now..Finally l get what you mean.l always thought we don't need jazz at church so l kept it at a distance
Nige talking about ear training you mentioned hearing keys of the songs.Does that mean being able to tell which key the song is in before figuring it out with the instrument? That's a very high level of musicality,at least for me.
I think he's referring to hearing intervals first. Having a reference pitch (unless you have perfect pitch) is great to work on as well but you'd still need to know intervals to make use of that.
