Love this video! Thank you for explaining everything. Would you happen to know or have any ideas on how how to extend the light fibers past the allowed 9 feet for 3 different panels (a-frame ceiling) for the same light machine?
Hmmm good question. I would assume you need a machine that can produce a strong enough light to extend pass the 9 feet. I would check amazon.com to see if a machines have longer strands
Amazing project! Going to build this in our dedicated theater. You mentioned using felt pads. I did not see that in the build video. Where were they placed?
Hello 👋 I am starting to do what you did for your star ceiling project,I bought the cloth and did the frame already, still debating what type of fiber optic lights I will have to use because there are too many at the market currently Now one question and I will neither help with this, did you have any suggestions or tricks when you passthrough the fiber optic lights to the cloth surface? My panel is 7ft by 5ft Thank you very much
So I’m redoing my kitchen and doing fiber optic lights in my countertops. I’m now considering doing them in my basement ceiling and was going to do it right into the drywall but idk how the hell I would go about doing that lol
@@KedrickFosteractually now that I think about it I probably could just do it from my attic. And then I wouldn’t have to even hang new board or anything. Just drill a bunch of holes
Thanks mann, been holding on to your other video for awhile and have most of the materials needed to build it now. My only concern is whether or not I will see the cluster of the fiber optics coming from the machine from directly under the lights given the cloth isn't totally blacked out. Is that an issue for you?
I worry you’re sagging may be the same problem I had with the swinging hooks you put into the two by fours even though it’s lightweight I did the same thing in the garage and it fell after six years. Luckily nobody was there to fall on.. but the swinging screws eventually loosen the hooks attached to the ceiling by friction. The swinging screws were all worn out where the two met at the metal connection between the two screws you put together I seen it in the first video and thought it might’ve fell in this video.. I use cardboard for mine before I seen this video. It’s easier to cut manipulate and mold and attach.
Did you make a pattern or did you just put the LEDs in randomly? I am worried that I will get "blank spots" or run out of LEDs before I have covered the entire piece.
Doing it myself for my updated studio setups
Nice!
Great video!!! I appreciate you sharing your knowledge
Thank you, appreciate you watching!
Nice man! This is Awesome!~
Thank you!

Thank you, they were added after the fact on the back side to minimize light from bleeding thru
Thank you!
Thanks for watching!

Thank you very much
yeah i just pushed them thru the fabric, no tools needed.
@@KedrickFoster 👍🙏
Is there any particular reason you never turn the system off?
How did you get around speakers and vents? Looks good by the way.
Thank you! There were no vents where the panel is but the speakers are just firing thru the fabric
@@KedrickFoster makes sense!! How easy was it to install ??
I think your hot glue is going to make it significantly heavier and cause the fabric to sag more. Awesome setup!
Thank you!

Hmmmmm that would be tough. You would somehow need access from above.

Where is the lighting system hang at? Inside the panel, if so hold did you mount it and what’s its weight?
Yes it's mounted to the frame. I used heavy duty zip ties. I would guess it's about 3 pounds if that .

yeah, that’s what the black felt it for. put that between the cluster and the main fabric to totally block the light
Man this is dope. You got anymore diys thats worth a watch?
I appreciate it! Yeah, I have a whole diy playlist

What was black fabric you used?
It was a black table cloth
@@KedrickFoster thanks
Hey what machine did u use like a $200 Amazon ? Or something higher end ?
machine from amazon that was around $100 dollars
Did you make a pattern or did you just put the LEDs in randomly? I am worried that I will get "blank spots" or run out of LEDs before I have covered the entire piece.
I just placed them randomly and doubt you will run out. I didn’t used about 30% of the strands because I didn’t want it to look too cluttered.
i noticed that you might have an advanced fire alarm system... can you talk about that?
Will these look nice with a white celling
Yes my ceiling is white
How would you turn the motor off ?
You turn it off thru the app
goat
The unit I have you can hear the motor from day 1… and it’s doing great
Maybe I just didn't pay it any attention at first
Motor might need to be blown out with air
Good point
Would ever build these and sell them
I’m not sure how I would go about shipping something this big
@@KedrickFoster you right on that part
Make it able to fold or roll up
@@KedrickFoster You likely need to offer an installation service.
