Thanks man, it worked for x230, now i can install and boot how i want, took abaut an half of hour without dissasemby and assembly, have to be careful not to broke the pins and also to keep it shorted. Sonetimes black screen came wheen shorted longer but you can reset and do again if it has to. For those hwo try, i keeped pins shorted longer, i relese the short after i save all "disabled" fields from security, and logo showed again after restart. it doesn t worked first, maybe i loose shorted connection! Good luck, look awsome with all options unlocked!
I have a laptop zed note, I used to short-circuit ic bios to reset the BIOS , but no one explained exactly what to do when it was turned on. Friends should pay attention , when laptop use IC you shoud do that Thank you for this video
Hi there. I have an x230, It was working fine, I haven´t tampered with the system at all. I fact, I had it for 6 months. Super well taken care laptop. Yesterday I tried to used it and it did not boot. This is what it does after pressing the on button: Power button lights on, lower screen bezel lights on (the one for the wifi goes on and then off, and the one for the CPU processor also goes on, last a second longer then the wifi and then Off) At the same time the wifi light is on and off so are the lights that corresponds to the speakers and microphone buttons. After that just the power button remains on, I can hear the HDD running, but nothing else, no logo on the screen, no sound at all, and of course no boot. I did all regarding pressing power button with no power source, I did disconnect the CMONS, Also the RAMs, and nothing. I testes the CMOS battery, showed 3V. I tried to boot without HDD, and without RAM, and even without CMOS battery, the computers behave the same, no boot Thanks
@@voxduesy5596 i have same issue. Power on button stays on. Speaker and mic on. No beep No POST. If HDD light is off it means HDD problem or can be Motherboard problem too?. And if HDD light on motherboard ita okay? Should i try this from the video if LCD gives no Post and its blank?
@@Azhi3r When you boot, can you see the Thinkpad logo? If you can, there is no issue with the motherboard. If nothing comes out, it can be your memory or motherboard. If you can see all the lights blinking, and the Display is OUT (not even light), it is Display issue. Hope this helps.
@@voxduesy5596 i cant see the wifi and disk (the one on the side of wifi) coming ON, just the power button and the mic and speaker lights go on, the display not even a backlight or nothing. No sounds or anything.
@@Azhi3r Let's try these 1) Memory - if you have 2 memory modules, remove 1 and try.. if it didn't work, try the other 1. 2) Remove the hard disk and try to boot
The overall production quality is very lacking. The music is certainly too loud. You don't need to cut anything at all if you completely dismantle the machine.
I got the idea how to do this, thank you!. but you ruined your video with the volume of your music. Just when you are about to say the important stuff, your music hinders it all. It is also difficult to see which buttons you press, since only the computer parts can be seen
I appreciate the video, but JESUS CHRIST, did you make this video with the intention of making it as difficult as possible for the viewer? As far as production quality goes, you've covered all the basics as far as making it utterly painful for a viewer. Vertical video? Check. Can't see anything, and no zoom or clear diagrams are used? Check. Play loud music while giving instructions? Check.

Could it be your display that has the issue? If you can see the LEDs for HDD, then the system is has no issue. Please let me know if this helps.
