If the brine destroys a boat in 6 months, what is it doing to them?

Before slavery and colonialism,Salt was traded by people of Mali and Senegal with the rest of Africa kingdom s and Empires. Majority Malians who settle in Yorubaland,Ashanti,Hausaland,Fon,Ewe and the rest and brought Islam to Nigeria,Togo, Benin and Ghana were Salt traders. In Yoruba language, Islam means “Esin Mali.which literally means “The religion from Mali. They exchanged Salt with gold, colanut and other Africa agriculture products. Also remember, the Salt is a residue of dried ocean that once ran through the now desert in the Sahel region thousands years ago. The desert was once a forest.

Xena B you didn’t know because of colonialism by the Europeans especially the French. French subdued and rewrote majority of the history of the people in their colonies. Unfortunately after independence Africans were not re-educated by their leaders. The reason being that most of these leaders became puppets. Instead of teaching Africa indigenous history,Africans were continued to be taught European-Arab history.

Wow amazing. I learned something new today. I thought salt and sea salt came from Middle East. So proud to know that my own people are also extracting salt from their bodies of water too. This is another reason Africa is the Garden of Eden because it is rich in everything from the earth that man needs to survive abundantly. No heavy industrialization coming to destroy the environment and pollute the land. Natural is the best. So very proud of the business man and his family for being so very industrious. Once again the Wode Maya team hit it out of the ball park with an awesome video that I shared on my Facebook page. 😎

Great video! It is amazing to see how blessed our continent is through your Africa to the world project. From the rock in Nigeria, to how empowered and confident Rwandan women are, and to this lake of salt in Senegal, and much more. Thank you Wode Maya. Greetings from Dallas, TX.
