Bad Boys, The Rock, Speed, The Negotiator, Terminator 2, Passenger 57, Metro, The Fugitive, Crimson Tide, Goldeneye, Kiss The Girls, Rush Hour, Eraser, Enemy of The State, Lethal Weapon 3, True Lies etc. some of the very best action\thriller movies of the 90s.
Don’t forget die hard 3,under siege,true lies,The Matrix,Air Force one ,Payback,Cliffhanger ,The long kiss goodnight,Lethal Weapon 4,Ronin,Heat,Mission Impossible,Payback,Universal Soldier ,Sudden death
Gotta love the intro. It goes from a funny scene with Martin Lawrence and Will Smith to all seriousness here and a beautiful view of Miami. Miami is like a Venus flytrap, it’s beautiful and deadly at the same time.
Yes it was my man. One of my fondest childhood memories. These two coming together for a movie was HUGE and they delivered. The theater was packed and everyone laughed, clapped, was blown away and entertained the whole time. One of the few movies in my life where I recall the movie getting claps and an ovation at the end. Batman 1989 and Rush Hour 2 are the only others that come to mind.
@TravFDY I was 2 when this came out so I always wondered what everyone thought at that time that Martin and Will were doing a big action movie together.
I watched Bad Boys for the first time just a couple days ago. Just from seeing the opening titles; the amazing music coupled with beautiful shots of Miami's city scape, I could tell that I was in for one memorable experience. And I was right.
It's quite masterful not only how glorious the score is, but how it matches the POV edit and the camera panning over waters, fast jump-transitioning to building corners, and gliding over a cityscape that looks like it's on fire...
I think what people dont realise with this film is how progressive it was in terms of having 2 black leads in the 90s and the opening credits music wasnt stereotypical hip hop or laid back vibes. It was tense and epic and made the audience feel that Smith and Lawrence were in a big deal of a movie with high stakes.
Can I just say these are some amazing shots I believe this is all helicopter shots. I know it’s just opening credits but you gotta appreciate the beautiful shots
Watching this in Chicago when I go to my dads for the weekend he had this movie on VHS. Using his stereo system this part would always hype me up especially at the 50 second mark I was ready to fuck shit up even as a kid. Years later I still appreciate this masterpiece 🔥
This theme song made me feel the movie and made me feel as if i was a bad boy. Love it. This will remain with me till im gone. 87 baby and this is my everything when i think of bad boys
wonderful, the 90's is the golden age of atmospheric action movies with great themes, shot in an artistic way, this goes in the league of ( fair game, speed, the specialist, true romance and others)
Me n my big cousin snuck in theaters to see this when it was released...it was surreal seeing will n Martin on screen after watching both of them once a week on their shows for years at that time...i remember I taped it on HBO n wore that tape out for a whole summer...lol
Yeah.. because I totally remember the "Hollywood" style "Miami" sign that sits in on top of the hills surrounding the city the last 20 times I've been to Miami. You know that's LA + cheap CGI right?
What I love about this movie is that its headlined by two black actors and the films opening score isnt cliched generic hip hop or rap. The music makes Smith and Lawrence feel like HUGE action stars.
@Gunnel Gainey Critics definitely don't fuck wit Bad Boys but nobody cares what they think anyway lol. These movies are purely for the fans. Martin and Will together is as magical as Gibson and Glover, Newman and Redford, Chan and Tucker, Nolte and Murphy, Deniro and Grodin etc.
Still gets me every time I see it... I remember all the years this movie has passed on and still one of the best intro soundtrack I've seen.. It's nice they bought the soundtrack and included in the last Bad Boys 2023, so the new generation could also enjoy it.. IT never gets older.. Just like Will S... I'm i crazy or the man looks almost just as he looked in the first???? He's almost 60 and it looks no more then 30... Damn...good genes, and a lifetime of sport...
Opening credits to the first real hit film of 1995. Saw this one in theaters with my family, women couldn't get enough of Will Smith's shirtless scenes (lol)!!! Fun times... ;-D
This is the best movie best theme songs , best script , I love this movie so much not to mention they added my favorite person in the world 2pac’s music .
exactly Mancina music screams miami to me especially that caribbean sound in one of his other themes and it sets the tone of the movie lets hope the third one gets back to this sounding of music
Oh God! This theme tune is so fucking cool! What I’m assuming is a lead guitar coming in with those ‘screams’ at 0.50 along with the main orchestral composition, that’s what makes it for me. Just so badass, man!😊👍🏽

Yes sir
Man.. Mark Mancina sure knows how to compose epic intro’s. This and Speed. *Chef’s kiss*
Must have been amazing to experience this in theatre during that time ... 90s
Yes it was! June 95, 16 yrs old on a date with my first girlfriend.
Everybody in the Theatre started yelling when the intro started. Massive!!

I still remember the no-longer-in-existence second-run theater were I first saw Bad Boys in 1995. Similarly a memorable experience.
best intro theme EVER!!!
Michael Bay is a badass director
Absolutely!
Totally.
And this is masterpiece 🍷😎😎🦩🤍
I think Steven got it right? 🐒💅❤️
1:02 love that instrument without getting bored also this intro kicks ass hard best intro than most movies today
Hell yeah lol
Pinch harmonics on an electric guitar with whammy bar. I think.

Am I alone in thinking that Mark Mancina is an underrated composer?
Nope, you are not
Its epic and powerfull. The Music, the Cuts, the Colors and Pictures.. Masterpiece for 1995.
I just watched this movie last night for the first time. damn what an opening. Mark Mancina nailed the theme.
Watching this in Chicago when I go to my dads for the weekend he had this movie on VHS. Using his stereo system this part would always hype me up especially at the 50 second mark I was ready to fuck shit up even as a kid. Years later I still appreciate this masterpiece 🔥
The photos of the sunsets are amazing.

Tea Leoni was so gorgeous in this movie
Ridiculously gorgeous in this. This is where my crush on her began.
what happend back in the 80's and 90's nearly every soundtrack was a big deal and now :(
yeah there was a good market for soundtracks and even the more niche market for scores
We ride together, we die together. Bad boys for life.
best movie intro in the world.......when i saw this as a kid i was so turnt up and ready haha
Same
Next to Speed
Right...and those views of Miami...
wonderful, the 90's is the golden age of atmospheric action movies with great themes, shot in an artistic way, this goes in the league of ( fair game, speed, the specialist, true romance and others)
True some of those weren't particularly great movies but they put a lot of artistic effort in making you forget it their flaws.
Bad Boys 1 will always be my favourite movie of the 90's Hands Down
Definitely in the top 5.
The best intro I've never seen! My respect to the ones who could see it at the theater at that time 👏👏👏👏

Hell, LA is way better
Let's means let is . And You should have wrote these kind of movies
Mark is back. He composed all of the music for Moana which i think is one of the best Disney soundtracks of all time.
What an incredible score
If you came to TH-cam to search this song and rewound it a bunch of times... you're a legend.
0:47 through 1:09 is the best part of this very awesome song
I like 1;09 part gives you chill
play this in your car, trust me, just play it, you ll feel like batman
Cdfup lol
I wanna do a Ninja mortorcycle riding video in Miami at night with shot of surrounding inspired from this video and with this music of course.
Play it on the drive to work and you'll be the hero of the day...
What I love about this movie is that its headlined by two black actors and the films opening score isnt cliched generic hip hop or rap.
The music makes Smith and Lawrence feel like HUGE action stars.
ik what mean that's what I loved about it too just cuase they black dont mean it fits to be rape music
Yep, the music lets you know that you are going to see a different side to Martin and Will.

A classic opening scene! Mancinas music was class in the 90s.. Speed, Money Train etc
Awesome opening scene - Miami is way more epic now than then though!
Imagine living in Miami and seeing your city on a movie
I love Bad Boys II, but the fact they didn't get Mark Mancina back to do the music never fails to disappoint.
I love Bad Boys 1995 the best #1 way better then sequel and 3rd
This should have been the theme for all of the bad boys movies
Agree
I’m 2003 when I first visited Miami 0:46, I’ve stayed at that hotel next to that awesome building. Awesome place for an awesome movie.
