God I miss those days of celebrating on a packed terrace. It's generally so dull & mundane in comparison nowadays. Not sure my back could handle it nowadays mind you. On the whole they were great times...win or lose, up zee Blues.
Chelsea beat all the top teams in 1990/91: United (a) 3-2; Liverpool (h) 4-2 and they were the only team that season in the league to beat champions Arsenal (h) 2-1. This at a time when they were giving some of their youth team products regular first team matches. Graeme LeSaux; Graham Stuart; David Lee and Damian Matthew are four names that immediately come to mind.
How Damian Matthew never made it bigger is a mystery to me. I played with him at Chelsea boys when 15 and he was head and shoulders above everyone else. He bossed everything…
I can't believe that this Chelsea penalty was the last penalty what Chelsea got at Old Trafford. For 33 years and nearly 40 games in the League, Cup and Europe Chelsea haven't got a single penalty at Old Trafford, despite of so many penalty positions and VAR. How it that possible?
Im looking for any old CFC vids. Clive Walker,Kerry Dixon,Dave Speedie, Chopper Harris doc maybe?. I undertsand Clive Walker and chopper vids might be asking abit too much but anything on The Blues late 70s early 80s would be appreciated. Shout to all blues!!! keep it flying....ALWAYS
I remember that Mike Phelan got "pilloried" by a lot of United fans because of what happened just before Chelsea's second goal. Given that he was surrounded by Chelsea players, Steve Bruce should never have passed the ball to him as you could tell that he wasn't expecting that pass!
whatever state of football in its era utd were always the best supported. sunday game live on telly this one. utd had biggest average that season despite being out title race
Those were the days! Lovely shorts, fantastic football, and perhaps the best goal Pallister ever scoed with his feet! Les Sealey, Neil Web, and my favourite Sparky Hughes. But who's that guy in a blue shirt called Andy Townsend?
Andy Townsend played for Norwich and Rep Of Ireland. Think we bought him around the Robert Fleck era 90? played for ireland loads of times. Think he works on footy games like fifa and is a pundit for ITV or was. There ya go, a small history lesson.
Loved Andy Townsend. What a player and pundit. Loved his enthusiasm
Andy Townsend was such a good player, vastly underrated in my opinion 👍
He captained Ireland at USA '94, so he wasn't that underrated
Pretty decent bunch of Chelsea players; Kerry Dixon, Durie, Townsend, Wise, Le Saux, Beasant and a young Graham Stuart!
Great support from Chelsea

Loads werrnt even 2k. North East not even 1k some games
Reasons i support Chelsea:
1. Ruud Gullit
2. Chelsea enjoy beating manure, especially at old trafford
Bobby Campbell...a Pompey legend.
If this game was played now in 2017 the score would be
MAN UTD 0 CHELSEA 7

Andi Sadler I think sarcasm is completely lost on you mate 😂😂
Wise showing there if you hit it hard enough even if the keeper gets to it still going in
Chelsea mad
Proper Chelsea...what an amazing firm we had then...god what has happened to our country as today we watch Leeds burn
I didn't know Andy Towsend played for Chelsea
How can you get out of the way if you're the defender
Ferguson signed some dodgy players before he eventually got it together.
Cool
