I do not want to talk of the details, but I was incarcerated for 9 years of a crime I did not commit. During that time, I did have a tiny transistor radio. To escape the harshness and reality, I listened to jazz on that radio. Peter White was, and still is, my God-Send. Yes, 9 years. I was finally cleared of the "conviction," and was compensated. That was 30-some years ago now. Still, guess what--I still have that tiny transistor radio, playing jazz for me, Sir Peter White filling my ears, still, with Dream Walk. That song got me through some bad times. His guitar, that sax, are responsible for my survival in that environment. All I can say, God Bless, and thank you for reading my comment.
First time for me listening to him. My youngest brother told me about this video. We are avid smooth jazz listeners and watchers. Very cute with him and sax man roaming around the audience. Hi mom is cute too. Both are high when playing. Thanks utube.
I' ve recently discovered this great guitarrist of jazz. And I' m sure of jus one thing; I' ll never see him in person. And I' sorry so much😢 Because I live so far.!.. Santiago de Chile ❤
...ps. that's Eric Marienthal on sax ifya didn't know......I've seen Peter 3 times and talked to him twice....seen Eric once and talked to him......both REAL nice guys....THANKS for posting this Jack.....YYEEAAAHHH!!!!!
My ALL TIME fave by Peter.....I live a few miles from the Hyatt Aviara Carlsbad, CA.......he was just there a few weeks ago.......unfortunately I missed him :(
Hello Peter I was there with you at te Averia Hayatt it was a perfect warm day by the beach day you got close homey with the audience who was the Sax player ?Miss you Will see you at Thornton Winery 🍷 this year got my ticket 🎟 Your Rancho Cucamonga fan LARRY TALAVERA
I have to say that Eric Marienthal is a very competent jazz player but completely doesn't "get" the mood of this song. He's too busy trying to be David Sanborn and loses the romantic mood of the original recording. Listen to the record and you'll see what I mean. He's all about listen to me "aren't I good" and trying to be " jazz hip". When he's playing with Al Stewart live he does the same deal on " Year of The Cat" he doesn't get that either. Having said that Peter's extemporizing on the play out is great if irrelevant to the original. He's taken Eric's lead in style by this time and the original recording has disappeared completely. It's just a jazz jam by then albeit a good one if you like that kind of thing.
Peter White! What an unbelievable talent!
