Hi,Tennessee North and family. Blessings 🙌🏾 to everyone and Happy holidays. The food looks delicious 😋. Tennessee, you always tell those beautiful stories and cook wonderful recipes. Thank you for always sharing. Love ❤️ you always, and God loves ❤️ you best. Have a blessed weekend 🙏🏾..
My grown son got to come home for thanksgiving. I showed him your channel, hot water cornbread, the dancing fork...yes my dinner was that good...., and the Tracy Eye. He could tell I love you. xo
Enjoy your alone time! You deserve it. I want to thank you for your videos. I LOVE turnip greens but don't know how to cook them. My ex husband always cooked them for us. Now that I've found you I'm gonna try it! So thank you! You have the most beautiful skin I've ever seen. 😊❤
Yes, I make cakes and freeze them as well. They freeze well. Enjoy your day Mrs. Tennessee North. It’s important to have that alone time. It’s great to have people around, but it’s important to spend time alone as well. It allows us to rest our minds, reflect, rejuvenate so that we can be our best selves for the people we love ♥️
Tennessee, I am like you, I love ❤️ pound cake 🎂 that is my favorite cake of all time.. I will be making a sour cream pound cake 🎂 for Christmas 🎄..I pray 🙏🏾 your cold get better and you feel better. God bless you. .
I love that you mentioned your mother making Jam Cake. My Grandma used to make one every Christmas, and my Mama still makes one every year, and thanks to my mama giving me the family recipe, I make one every year also. Neckbones look absolutely delicious! Peace, Love ❤️
Yessss it's cold when I get to the store this weekend i will be looking for me neck bones thank you for sharing God bless you my uncle ate cornbread and buttermilk
Hey Tennessee 👋 Cakes are wonderful if you freeze the cakes before you frost them. Just wrap them good in plastic wrap. They are so moist that way. I don't have a tree topper cause it touches the ceiling, so I just put a lot of decorations at the top. I make cranberry orange nut bread for Christmas and give away in my goodie baskets. DELICIOUS! Your dinner looks so good and it's the crunch for me too with the hot water cornbread. ❤
Now you’re talking, Tennessee North! I used to crumble cornbread, not Jiffy in buttermilk too! You made me think about my mother who introduced me to it🥰🥰🥰🤣🤣🤣
I grew up in central Ontario Canada... and as kids and now adults, pork neck bones were a treat as in once or twice a year... Nobody up here used them except for broth I think.... Mother would just boil up a big pot of them.. she told the butcher what she wanted... Large bones with lots of meat... we would pour vinegar over them and lace them with salt.... we still like it like that..... lol
Love your hair. Watching an old video with you doing greens for your sister and yourself wishing I had a big bowl of greens and a hunk of cornbread. Love them both. Question. I’ve noticed you have so many spices and seasonings. Where do you get the McCormick seasonings in such large containers? What part of Tennessee are you in. My daughter is in Chattanooga >❤
Try neckbones and Rottbega with baked cornnread. Or corn meal dumplings. I cook my neckbones about a hour and a half then add my rottabega they don't take to long to get tender. You'll be hooked. Its a good winter meal. The rottbegga are small lately. Sometimes I add some potatoes to make a full pot.onions are good in it as well.
I stopped at a soul food restaurant today and got me some beans and neck bones with corn muffins; and I got some chili for tomorrow. It is extremely cold here today in Kansas City and I also love comfort foods when it’s cold.
Hey Tennessee. I have family in Memphis. Stay warm, I know y’all not use to real cold weather. But I can’t get my hot water cornbread to crunch. What am I doing wrong. And my aunt use to put like a pinch of sugar in hers. Do you fry in bacon grease or vegetable oil?
Yes make sure that water is hot. I use a pink of baking power( just a pinch) I do a pinch salt and pepper and teaspoon of sugar. Make sure your oil is hot as well. Good luck!!
Hello Tennessee North, my friend when I gave you the recipe for the cheesy potato soup. I forgot to tell you you make a room first then add your milk and your cheese and stir it and make it however thicker than you want it. I like mine more on the reading media thick Cabana. I also forgot to tell you four pieces of pastrami cut them up fine and put that in with your cheese/then dump them over your potatoes. I also cooked my potatoes. I put them in the microwave with water and a bowl of salt and cover it for about 25 minutes and the potatoes are not great or anyway I just wanted to tell you that and I wanna wish you a very merry Christmas and a happy new year and God‘s blessing will always be with you. I sent you a recipe for a Jell-O cake. I can give it to you again. It’s one yellow cake mix Bake poke holes in it and use strawberry Jell-O a couple hot water cold water drizzle that all over your cake and you add your whipped cream on top then I take two Heath top bars, break them up and find pieces and put that over the whipped cream and then cover this cake and put it in the refrigerator for two Hours. Lots a lot of universes.
Another good meal is mullet fish cleaned and cut into Large piece's with bone in.place the large bone in fish piece's into a large pan deep and roomy. Added water just enough to cover the about half of the fish. Let them cook on med heat. About 40 minutes. Add some flour and a dab of cornstarch. Make a gravy add onions to the gravy let things get done add some salt and pepper to taste. Make your self a plate of fried cornbread. Make up some slaw as a side dish. Or a cabbage. Cut up some tomatoes and cucumbers with vinger and salt and pepper. You can also use Blue fish. Please don't make a thick gravy . Thin gravy on fish is better. Don't over season. You want to taste this delicious fish flavor. The meat should be soft and meaty. White colored. They smell fishy but they are so delicious.
Also wanted to tell you I have a birthday coming up December 24. I’ll be alone for my birthday and Christmas as I have no family as I told you I lost my mom and dad last year both of them five weeks apart and still fighting cancer taking treatment. I think I’ll make a little small gel cake for me for my birthday and I think I’ll have a Salisbury steak TV dinner and a can of Coke a touch of love Tennessee.❤❤❤❤
