    I really like how you set up your truck! Just got my 2018 looks like everything is stock.. using your videos as a guide! Nice truck and good work! I love it! Hope to make it just as nice as yours one day!

    Damn that sounds good! Love that it's not too "whiney" I was torn between the whipple and the tvs1900. This video has def. helped me decide for my future setup. I don't need to let everyone know that I have a supercharger hah

    I really like the sound of this cam. It's not at all choppy sounding. I like all of your performance upgrades and I think you've paved a way for me to follow.
    I've got a 2015 Sierra All Terrain 5.3 with 44k miles and a whipple kit on order, but the installation is beyond my scope of knowledge...as is the cam and pretty much everything else you've done to the motor except the CAI. I reverted back to stock as well. However, after watching countless installation videos it doesn't seem too difficult. My only worry would be something not matching up, getting stuck or completely lost and having to tow it to a real mechanic. Tearing apart the motor and doing a cam swap, lifters, springs, etc., is very intimidating, though.
    Have you read or heard of the stock driveshaft not being strong enough for boosted applications? I don't plan on driving 100+MPH, but I also don't want it to come apart on the dyno. Also, at what point does one forge internals? Is it generally recommended after FI or recommended after a certain boost level or horsepower? I keep reading stuff about upgrading fuel injectors and fuel pumps, lifters and springs and whatnot. I'm not sure which way to go there, either.
    It's funny that you mention pmoore4321 because your videos reminded me of his. That guy seems incredibly knowledgeable. I was studying his videos trying to absorb this wealth of information; numbers and figures on a chalkboard that I don't understand at all and just went crosseye.
    I hope you post more videos of your truck! Acceleration, 0-60, passing power, the fun and practical benefits of forced induction.

      Thanks for the comment. To answer some of your questions ,I have heard about exploding drive shafts and am currently looking into upgrading mine. I think im going to go with Performance Driveline out of California. There website is alldrivelines.com They have some two piece options for 2 wheel drive on the website but when i called them they have a high HP one piece 4X4 Aluminum that they said wont explode . All they need is the stock GM part # for the shaft that came with the truck so they will know the build length specs. As far as forged bottom internals i dont think they will be necessary at current boost levels, That DOD valve train is the weakest part, I am surprised pmoore hasn’t deleted his yet. Doing the cam swap was a major ordeal even with a big mechanical background, I wouldn’t recommend doing the cam if your not comfortable but you can probably take on the Supercharger install most of the work is taking apart front grille and installing the heat exchanger and plumbing. I will try to get another Video up soon with a few more updates. Good luck with your build.........

    Any driveline issues after adding the supercharger? Upgraded to a performance driveshaft?

    Curious..why did you go threw all that work and only go with a stage 1 cam..you have everything you need to support at least a stage 3...just a question? Beautiful truck!

      It’s my daily driver so I still wanted drivability on stock converter. Honestly i was going to get a stage 2, but BTR and Texas speed were both sold out of stage 2. I needed to get the truck back on the road soon so I went with the stage 1. I am happy with the build. I now have 25k more miles on truck since this video was made.

    Which stage 1? Truck cam? Positive displacement supercharger cam?

    • @jlrcracing
      @jlrcracing  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I dont think they still make the cam, they have better grinds now. It is just a BTR NA stage 1 truck cam.

    • @jlrcracing
      @jlrcracing  ปีที่แล้ว

      No. But the new belt length has it wrapped up pretty far.

    You're literlly the only video I can find with this cam. How you liking the cam? I'm assuming you're unsure how much power it gave you? Have you any negatives about it yet?

    • @jlrcracing
      @jlrcracing  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I am making 200 HP at the wheels more than stock, the supercharger is supposed to add 100-120 so i would contribute the rest of the difference to the cam and exhaust. It does seem to pull harder up top than it did with the stock cam and SC. Ive got 5500 miles on the cam now and have no complaints.

    What about the transmission is it still stock?

    • @jlrcracing
      @jlrcracing  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I have 113K on the truck now, still holding together. Some of my other videos in the series go over more mods. The transmission is stock other than tuning I've done and a larger pan.

    With current fuel prices, you have me wondering. After 25k additional miles, how is the fuel economy? I have a 15 Sierrah that I am in the process of doing pretty much what you have done to it.

      In summer real world calculations at the pump I see around 16mpg driving normal with a few strong pulls per week. In winter months I usually see 1-2 mpg less due to denser air and longer idle times warming up the truck.

    This is the exact set up i want to do. I love it man. How's it holding up?

      I have put over 25k on it since this was done and it runs great with no issues!
