What happened to the original, natural meet gourd was the crop (not in USA) developed a mold or something and was not harvestable. PC had to develop an artificial gourd and stayed with it. The original ones also came with a cork stopper.

I still have some Pleasant Company clothing in my collection.Your Pleasant Company Addy Collection is beautiful. It brings back so many memories. 🩷 I dress my Addy in modern clothes as well.

Thank you for your video! I am in a similar position in owning Josefina, her entire PC collection, and a bunch of additional pieces. I was fortunate enough to be an adult when it was released and able to buy it directly from PC/AG. I have been in a similar situation with smaller items disappearing. I replaced her feather quill by buying a few small feathers that look like the original. I also bought silk primrose flowers when I thought she had lost one from her hair. Keeping an eye out for smaller sized fake/silk mistletoe may be a better replacement option than replacing the whole set. My mom once stayed at my place, and when I was not home, she cleaned and tossed the plum from Josefina’s picnic set. Yep. Had to repurchase the whole set again second hand to get the plum! I get it!

I am very new to collecting and do not want to join Instagram/Facebook. Where do you find sources for photos/write--ups on the Histical dolls collections? Once again, thank you for your comprehensive video and yes, I would love to see more of your dolls' collections!💐
Hi! I would suggest tracking down one of the older catalogues. Spring of 1997 would be a good one because then all of the original 6 would have their collections in it. :) I will say, most of my info and knowledge has come from a Facebook group called The Vintage Corner - Pleasant Company American Girl Dolls. There are a lot of long term collectors there who have been gathering info for ten+ years. There isn't really a website with a comprehensive list anymore. AGPlaythings has one, but it stopped being updated around 2010, so a lot of the newer stuff is not cataloged.
Hi, this was fun to watch. Please do more. I totally am the same way about keeping the original items that belong to the characters. Missing the sprig of holly...I said it when you did! I also agree with you about Beforever. It's just not authentic looking.
