Yesterday I found myself thinking back to the spring game and how I was feeling rather unimpressed by the end of it. Plus hearing the reports from fall camp about how the defense and offense would both seem to outperform each other one day to the next. I remember taking those reports to mean that neither unit was dominant, or even very good, or consistent.
After rewatching that TAMU game later yesterday afternoon - now I’m thinking it was more about iron sharpening iron all off season. I feel like we’re seeing the results from two great coordinators challenging the others unit in ways that have shaped and molded both units into much more capable and prepared versions of where they started in the spring. They still have work to do, for sure … but they deserve recognition for how far they’ve come so quickly. I’m excited to see if they can keep it up this year and beyond!!

I just want to see the second team in early so they can get game reps just incase our first team gets injured. The next two games.
They still made mistakes but this is only game 2. Can you imagine how good they will play at game 5-6? All college teams take half a season with a new offensive or defensive coordinator to start to “gel together “. We have both new coordinators and will be amazing half way through this season and now 10-2 is reasonable or better. When you play conservative you lose games.
I remember telling folks to calm down last year when they were saying bench TVD for Jake Garcia because the game plan of that N.C. game showed that in a scheme that fit his talents much like under Lashlee that TVD would thrive we just gotta keep choppin wood and stay focused we'll be good. far better than 5-7

I think it might be a little bit early for trash talk but is that the type of team I want to see back hell yes. It's been a long couple decades and I used to love the trash talk. Although the last time I participated in that was the robbery in the desert and that very much humbled me but I'm still pissed about it it's only been 20 plus years, no I don't hold a grudge😂

Trash talkin' is a part of football. In the first quarter, both teams are engaged in it, but by the end of the game only one team has backed it up. It was a good win. They would have lost this game last year if they started the way they did. It was a fun game to watch and I saw a much improved team over last year. But people are blowing this game out of proportion. How good is A & M? They were not that good last year. Sure they are loaded with talent. But they have been for many years and still underachieved. I honestly think that next year will be a much tougher year for the canes than this year. Losing your center and more than likely your QB next year will be a huge challenge.
No, we aren't blowing the win out of proportion! A&M offense is better this year! Their starting QB is the best QB passing they had in a while. Their defense is good! They will not face as passing TVD like the rest of their schedule! Some of those throws, TVD made in that game, your only going to see in the NFL currently!

Yup the corner blitzes were coming in hot and often and A&M never adjusted their blocking scheme to stop it.
I'm excited because I truly have faith in our coaches and team. I cannot remember the last time when we had 3 or more receivers that I expect to catch the balls that hit their hands and not drop it like the guys with stone hands I've seen for the last 15 years give or take

I saw a T A&M show the other night say that Miami's offensive line couldn't say they were great because for some reason the Aggies just didn't pressure much, it was all 5 on 5.....I laughed remembering Parrish picking up several blitzes and TVD still having a lot of time to throw
