Nice one! Used this as reference to just give the driveside crank a confident tap to get it off... All I could find elsewhere was the DUB self extraction system (which the bike I'm working on didn't have that!) donut was handy to see this come apart. Ta 👍
The twisty lock ring thing on the non-drive side....should that be turned towards or away from the + when installing? Looks like youve done it the same way for removal and install.
That plastic lock ring on the non drive side is a bearing pre load I believe. Try loosening or tighten that lock ring to see if crank arms spin more freely

Thx for posting this, but the most important part (that you "may" have to hammer the crank out) needs to shown in your video.
I got the bolts off but can’t get the washer or the drive side off. Cranks are usually the easiest to get off.
Oh! and you don't need to take the chain links apart, just take the chain off over the pedal. :0)
thank you for this great information, have a blessed day
Thank you for this, it gives me n idea that works. 👍👍👍
Would you mind giving the model of the instrument for bottom bracket.
My bike creak so much when I ride In muddy and wet condition. Is it the bb make the sound the most isn't?

Did you ever figure our which way to turn it to loosen the crankset
Does that model of bottom bracket really make that sound at 7:40? I just got mine installed
Do you know the exact size of your bottom bracket tool? Ty
Thx- got it cleaned up
Skipped the only part I'm struggling with. Drive side wont budge.
Yep, me too. Usual SRAM...goid idea, crap execution.
Did you ever manage? I'm at the point of having to angle grind through the spindle!
Use an impact wrench because DUB is a piss poor design from a maintenance standpoint.
Why is it a poor design?
@@oscarbazalduadominguez6178 ok gracias . Donde la comprastes? . Sabes el número o modelo?
@@MrRafa1973 yo solo pedí el tornillo extractor para el sistema dub en M.L
@@MrRafa1973 tornillo para multiplicación sram dub así pídelo en mercado libre saludos
Why was that so easy? I've tried everything but none had worked on my sram crankset to be removed.
hey did you manage to remove your cranks?
That's a bad bad bad design. Why in hell should I be hammering on my precious bike? Drive side won't budge. I'm giving up for tonight
what size is the socket for the bb
6mm
Is it possible that I overtightened it while reinstalling? Crank arms don't move as freely as yours

Horrible how to, cannot understand audio. Sorry.
