Thank you for the video Andrew. I took a serious look at the Samaya tents, along with other single membrane tents, including the Ferrino, Big Agnes, MSR, Lightwave and Mountain Hardware. Made my decision last night and ordered a North Face Assault 2, all the best, Angus
@@AndrewParkOutdoors Hi Andrew, yeah, so far I have been impressed with the simplicity, ease of set up and how warm it gets inside. As you know the weather hasn't been the best, so haven't been able to use it, not even in the garden, but I did set it up in my bedroom 😁which is a cold room with a concrete floor, and its a well thought out and well made tent. There is plenty ventilation, and the midgie nets are essential for Scotland, as you know, cant wait to do the Glen Shiel ridges with it, will have to wait till April
have done any test in damp and not so windy where condensation may be a problem. I'm leaning towards this or 2.0 against Hilleberg for the weight. Good work, keep them coming.
Can't go wrong camping at Donich Andrew, several decent pitch spots. Nice hike up and great views. Never tried single skin tents. Didn't manage up last time it was a gale I could hardly stand lol. ATB.
Great location Andrew. Mind if I ask you a non-tent question please? What camera do you prefer for your mountain pics? Is it just your phone? I've been lugging a weighty DSLR around. I love it, but would love to save on weight and bulk if someone suggests to me an alternative lightweight camera for long climbs, especially with wide angle. Yours seems to get great results. Thanks Andrew. Wayne. P.S. Used the Sofirn torch for moonlight tent pics on a 2 night mountain wild camp in W.Wales this week. It was perfect! 👍⛺
@@AndrewParkOutdoors Nice to get a shot I suppose. It did look well thought through; the fabrics, pockets/loft, guy points and access. I wonder which of your single skin exped tents come closest to it, in terms of quality and practicality.
Ultimately I don't think so Alan. At £1000 or less maybe I'd be tempted but there's cheaper alternatives out there that maybe weigh 500 grams more and cost a lot less. I'd probably go for one of them.
The most simple thing, water, one of the few things us humans can’t survive without. Cheers Andrew.
Hi Andrew, I was up Ben Donich and the Brack on Friday (23 April). Keep your videos coming. Excellent. Norrie frae Lithgae.
Probably just missed you !

Oh good stuff, I hope you like it 🙂

Yes it does suffer from condensation as soon as the Flysheet is wet on the outside. It stops moisture passing through the fabric .
Beautiful trip. Thank you for sharing.
Cheers Raymond.
You had a great day for it .Nice views .Enjoyable video. ATB
You too Graeme

Hi Eddie, still jealous of that inversion you got, that was a stunner. When the wind gets up though theres not many places to hide :-) A
Great video Andy! 😀 loved the “wee spicy bit”
Full of character that wee hill, the crevassed bit is great.
I enjoyed watching the video. The black spot on the zipper looks like the seam sealing tape has come off... What is this?
Hi, i had to watch the video to see what you meant but still cant see anything. There's was no real sign of tape coming off, all looked OK.

Good video Andrew. Looked a great camp pitch. Another interesting tent review. Enjoyed watching. Atb Steve
Cheers Steve
i realize I am quite randomly asking but does anyone know of a good place to watch newly released movies online ?
Yes mine lol. Atb Steve 👍
Looked a great camp with stunning views and cracking skies , tent looked good and captured some nice footage atb Dave
Thanks Dave, its a nice spot for camping there. Wee tent on its way back to France now, NEXT?! ;-)
@@AndrewParkOutdoors lol
Cheers.
Do you filter your water, or just boil it up?
The flashy tent still looks good, but small though?
Bit of both, if it's out of a dodgy pool I do both just in case :-)

Hi Wayne, yes it's my Pixel 4a, great photo software in it seems to produce results ( I'm no photographer ) :-)
@@AndrewParkOutdoors You're too modest. 👍 Cheers Andrew.
I do like the look of that tent, certainly out of my price range though! ATB fella
Lovely vid Andrew. Just looked up the price of your tent... Woah! Hope it lasts and you get plenty use out of it😁
Packed and ready to go back to Samaya ( it was a loan ). Could have kept it tho !

I was thinking the same and I've come to the conclusion that the MSR Advance Pro probably gives you most of the same for a third of the price tbh.
@@AndrewParkOutdoors Nice of ne, thanks Andrew.

Ps the tent looks quiet reasonable. Have used the Zastrugi a lot this year, love it.
Watched, loved, subscribed. Simple as that.
Awesome, thank you!
And here I always thought the Ban Sith were wailers, not snorers. :-)
