I have no idea what is happening here and I don’t care - it’s beautiful and gnarled all at the same time ❤❤❤

Haha thanks! Me neither. I was like ok this sound goes over her to this module, then over there to that other module and though that thing, then out. Oh what if I made my midi notes change some random parameter on a thing? Lol.

Wow it’s crazy what this thing can do! Great sounds!!

Thanks! I think in a pinch it could be an entire pedalboard by itself.

I like the LFO on the tremolo speed. Sounds cool.

Thanks! Me too. It's fun changing waveforms too for different feels.

Always been interested in this FX Machine/synth.

Me too. I only finally picked one up last week. It makes some really cool synth sounds too. I was trying a patch where I was playing an oscillator on it with my keyboard but my incoming audio signal was being used as a frequency modulator for that oscillator, then it went through a bunch of parallel effects and out. Possibilities are wild.

I am kinda in the same boat as another commenter, this thing is like voodoo to me....! I have no concept of what is happening or what it is actually doing (besides what you explained).... LoL. With the few videos I have seen, it seems like a powerful tool if you know how to use it....
Having said all that, the sounds you made with it sounded stellar.... Maybe when I hit a musical rut and need some inspiration, I will look into seeing if this toy is my speed or not.... =)

Thanks! It's definitely daunting in some ways but also kinda like lego blocks in another way. I liked that I could route things all sorts of ways and the effects themselves sound great. I'm still unsure where it will sit in my chain or even if it will just be by itself. I'll be experimenting with it for months probably before I feel like I can even see the edges of its capacity. BTW did you end up getting a Sidewinder?

Yeah, after fumbling around with the Meris Polymoon and Enzo, and eventually selling them because of the frustration of trying to dial in a usable sound, the thought of another dauntingly complicated pedal just doesn't interest me at this time....
YESSS, I have Sidewinder #7, and he moved all of the connectors to the backside - which helps on my tight pedal board....! Steve was really cool with everything.... And, the pedal sounds just as good on guitar sounds as it does on your keyboard sounds....! So, a special thanks from me to you for what you do.... Had you not highlighted this pedal, and had I not magically found your post, I would have been oblivious to its existence.... =)

@@pamelaa4010 That's awesome! Steve is totally a cool guy. I'm glad you like the pedal. It's weirdly versatile and I really like the character of the overdrive too.

@@basementlyle I found an "Easter Egg" in the Sidewinder....! I don't know if our pedal builds are the same (I know he moved the connectors to the back, but I dont know if he changed anything else).... Anyway, there is an internal limit to how fast you can set the rate.... You can tap in a faster tempo, but it slows down to the internal speed as soon as you stop tapping.... If you do it just right, and tap the tap button super fast twice, you can get the rate going to a "hum" speed.... It kinda has a motor sound, or like what it sounds like if you were talking to someone on coms in a flying helicopter..... It is kinda kool...! See if yours can do it, I am curious.....! =)

I keep being tempted to get this pedal but I’m not there yet. But this video doesn’t help. 😅❤

Haha we are mutually corrupting influences. Here I'm thinking the Zoia is a gateway to a Deluge. ;)
