If you haven't seen the "Giving my OCs lore/backstory || Sunbun" vid, Sunbun was created by a scientist who has a daughter. Her daughter had cancer and only had 2 months to live. So Sunbun was created to keep the scientist's daughter company while the scientist works in finding a cure. Unfortunately, Jayla, the daughter, didn't make it, but her last words mentioned Sunbun to explore the world for her. So Sunbun did what Jayla said, even if it means leaving the scientist to die alone.
So basically when she found a bunny, she found it adorable. Then she remembered Jayla's wish, to be cured and play freely in the world again. Her wish also involved seeing her fav animal, bunnies. However, she has to stay in the lab until she's cured. Sunbun pretty much has the same wish, except she doesn't want to be alone and wants Jayla to explore the world with her.
