Im priced out. I used to trade cars every year sometimes sooner because i knew the people at the dealer and didnt lose very much each time. That is no longer the case. I unloaded a hellcat, paid off my mortgage and bought a cash car with the equity I had in it.
Tell your friends and family not to buy a New Toyota. 5 people I know have had multiple issues with the New Toyota Tacoma and Tundra. The 2025 Toyota 4Runner is next on the list of Junk Toyota Products.
I honestly can't fathom what Dodge was thinking with the Hornet. It honestly isn't a bad looking car, and I'll bet could have sold a ton if they priced it in the low 20's. But 40-50k......Get the hell out of here.
The hornet should of been their EV car. At a 25k price range. But no one will buy at over thst price which is why it is the worst selling car in America
When I was at the Dodge dealership getting an oil change in my Charger, I checked out a Hornet they had on the showroom floor. Honestly, the interior was super nice, comfortable and seemed laid out really well. But dude, the pricing lol. If those cars we're like $30K out the door, tops...maybe. They're straight trippin' with $45K price tags.
The start/stop crap and the cylinder deactivation garbage is so they can comply with CAFE ratings imposed by the government. The extreme complexity of modern engines is due entirely to government emission standards. The EPA ruined modern diesels and now they're ruining gas cars and trucks as well.
Everyone is missing the real reason In order to comply with the Green New Deal The OEMs are purposely making terrible ICE products to make you switch to electric In the meantime the oems are making extreme profits with the high prices and cheap parts
Glad I purchased a new 2nd generation 2021 Toyota Sequoia TRD Pro employing that bulletproof naturally aspirated 3UR-FE 5.7 liter V-8 engine and reliable 6 speed Aisan transmission
Haven’t bought a new car since 1989. I currently own a 2012 Toyota Tacoma. Has over 100k miles and runs great! Will drive it till the wheels fall off!😅
Your correct! I seen this coming and before they were gone, we purchased a 2024 4runner pro in underground color for MSRP and yes, it's a dinosaur but it's the old school reliable Toyota we all loved and its gone BYE BYE the new models use cheaper components, more plastic and have small displacement turbo engines that are loud and will last 200k before you'll need to replace the turbos in them.
Automotive manufactures have priced out every american buyer its sad. A family cant afford to get a new vehicle that they need. What happened to auto makers. Its sad. Each year cars get more and more cheaply built with more corners getting cut. You cant even work on your own car anymore.
True enough on not passing on any of the cost savings to the consumer. The consumer, though, does have choices and if sales slow too much, the material quality/durability might be stepped up.
I think I got in at the perfect time. I got a '22 Tacoma TRD Off-Road new at MSRP, & traded in my '17 GTI for $4k less than I initially bought it for. The 3rd gen Tacoma may be slow and not fuel efficient but I love the peace of mind that N/A V6 gives me
A surprise has been the quality and reliability of the palisade and telluride. They are more reliable than Toyota and Honda not to mention standard comes with amazing tech inside.
The thing to remember is that if you buy one of these vehicles it may last you 100K. But when you go to trade it in, or sell it outright,,that’s when you take the price hit. By then it will be easy to find out where all the problem areas are. It’s going to be the second and third owners having the issues. That is if they make it that long.
I own a 2001 Mercedes E430 and a 2005 E55 AMG and have no plans of ever selling them or getting anything newer than 2015 or so. I do my own work and I spend less than $1000 a year for maintenance and repairs for both of them. They NEED these cars to break regularly so you are forced to buy a new one. They are changing the laws to kill older cars for the same end purpose.
You should do more videos on German brands 🤣. Check out their pricing and declining quality if you want a great laugh-out-loud experience. It's absurd.
Gotta' agree with ya' on the. Frontier...got two of 'em...2022 & 2023. Thousands less than Toyota...so far problem free. One is a SV Crew cab, the other a SV Extended cab.
Dealers aren't really profiting off cars like they used to, right? Hence all these forced add-ons, 3rd party extended warranties, etc. Oh... and if you finance through them they tack on additional percentage in interest to continue profiting.
Lol fam your right. It's just too much plastic, depreciation, the cheapness of materials, built mechanically complicated, cheap interiors and no support for service. Cheap cars make horrible accidents.
overpriced, unreliable junk.its a shame that names like dodge, ford and chev are now looked upon as junk. they had real good names when they were building high performance cars and trucks.pity
I refuse to buy a new vehicle even a Silverado for a Chevy Tahoe or a Lincoln Navigator period in Lincoln Navigator I wouldn't even buy that pile of garbage cuz it doesn't even have a V8 anymore. But more importantly what these vehicles have in common is the fact they have no front end protection anymore let alone rear end or side protection. There's nothing but plastic and fragile aluminum. I could take my 89 Silverado and hit something and it's barely going to put a dent in the front end. They were built with quality. I would not have one of these new plastic aluminum garbage vehicles. And this will be the last Toyota Corolla I ever buy. I bought a 22 Corolla and it's made out of nothing but plastic and fragile aluminum. I had a person brush me barely and they cost $3,200 worth of damage to my front end. It's just unacceptable. This would not even have been a thing on my 89 Silverado
I got a 24 tacoma a few months ago, and I love it. I invested in the Limited with the tech package so I EXPECTED the price upcharge compared to the 23, but $10k extra for a BASE model is just nuts. I'm not even concerned about the drive train, I love the 4 cylinder hybrid because I use mine for long drives and the occasional off roading.
EVs exist. And not only America. EVs, Chinese EVs are literally 1/3 the price of American cars. If you want new technology cars that look great and offer great Bang for Buck, call up your Congressman and demand America let in Chinese EVs.
Im priced out. I used to trade cars every year sometimes sooner because i knew the people at the dealer and didnt lose very much each time. That is no longer the case. I unloaded a hellcat, paid off my mortgage and bought a cash car with the equity I had in it.
Smart move
Hell yea
Toyota has cut so many corners over the years and their prices have sky rocketed while the quality has plummeted.
Big time
Define how their quality plummeted and how has it affected you?
Tundra engine issues jssue@@RKO859
Tell your friends and family not to buy a New Toyota. 5 people I know have had multiple issues with the New Toyota Tacoma and Tundra. The 2025 Toyota 4Runner is next on the list of Junk Toyota Products.
@@Slammingutzif toyota is having issues them imagine the rest of manufacturer’s fiascos!
I’m priced out period.
New cars are cheap crap. Better off finding a used car if thats possible.
I’m really interested in that Nissan Frontier just not at $47k 😂. It’s a $30k truck lol
You wilding. No new vehicles are 30k nowadays. Try 40k starting.
Agreed. I would spring for a Frontier Pro 4X if it was $30-35K
Its a nissonda truck now.
How long is this going to go on? They, don't cut corners to reduce the price, they cut corners to increase profits. Jesus, it's always been that way.
I honestly can't fathom what Dodge was thinking with the Hornet. It honestly isn't a bad looking car, and I'll bet could have sold a ton if they priced it in the low 20's. But 40-50k......Get the hell out of here.
If the hornet was priced it is deserved $20k it would sell pretty well. But not at $50k thats ridiculous.
The hornet should of been their EV car. At a 25k price range. But no one will buy at over thst price which is why it is the worst selling car in America

some dealerships are selling them in the low 20's
First time in 20yrs I'm driving a car that's more then 3yrs old.Its all garbage now.
One of my local dealerships that has been in business for over 50 years is now going out of business…. I wonder why…
The start/stop crap and the cylinder deactivation garbage is so they can comply with CAFE ratings imposed by the government. The extreme complexity of modern engines is due entirely to government emission standards. The EPA ruined modern diesels and now they're ruining gas cars and trucks as well.

Don’t forget to mention the gas tank on the Tacoma hold 100 miles less than previous gen.
It’s like the 80s all over again 😮
A lot of truth in that.
Except the 80s had cool music and style
Just look at new Accords, they are having turbo issues already, they are weak engines and now turbo disasters, they suck
Haven’t bought a new car since 1989. I currently own a 2012 Toyota Tacoma. Has over 100k miles and runs great! Will drive it till the wheels fall off!😅
None of these turbo cars will be around in 12 years
Your correct!

Congrats Tom on 10k subscribers!
$47K Tacoma, outrageous.
The way the car market is right now it’s a hard pass from me dawg smh
My wife's inherited 84 c10 and my 71 delta 88 convertible looking better and better😅
I'm shopping for a 38 Ford pickup. 😂
@jerryhuff86 be better than anything rotting on these lots and last longer. And if you get in a jam can always sell it and put sumthn in your pocket
True enough on not passing on any of the cost savings to the consumer. The consumer, though, does have choices and if sales slow too much, the material quality/durability might be stepped up.
You’ve got the best microphone in any outdoor car and truck reviews. I wonder what you do to eliminate background noise.
we're not stuck with anything. plenty of used cars on the market. can always hold on to our own old cars as well.

This is why the local Autozone is my best friend.

How much for a Mexico Tacoma with a 25% tariff ?

That $1500 ad on package alone would chase me off the lot.
🎶 Oh, what a feeling (THE STICKER SHOCK) Toyota!🎶
You can take a lot of Lyft/Uber rides for $60k..
Gotta' agree with ya' on the. Frontier...got two of 'em...2022 & 2023. Thousands less than Toyota...so far problem free. One is a SV Crew cab, the other a SV Extended cab.
These newer vehicles remind of the ones made in the USSR back in the day, built as cheap as humanly possible.
Dealers aren't really profiting off cars like they used to, right? Hence all these forced add-ons, 3rd party extended warranties, etc. Oh... and if you finance through them they tack on additional percentage in interest to continue profiting.

There are plenty of quality sedans under $30,000. Americans want big, high tech SUV’s and then complain about the price and insurance.
Toyota is over 200 billion in debt. That’s why their prices are high, they need to pay down the debt.
Mazda is the only brand I could think of that’s doing it the right way and even their prices skyrocketed.
Next cardboard will happen at higher price.

Don't they use same parts regardless what factory they come out of?

Your husband must love that hybrid as well.
@sheldoncurtis2908 the hybrid just powers the electronics and if I run empty on gas I get an extra 50 miles out of it
good luck with the shitty 4 cyl engine
nitrogen filled tires ffs. 😂
I will never sell my 2007 Toyota Highlander...
EVs exist. And not only America. EVs, Chinese EVs are literally 1/3 the price of American cars. If you want new technology cars that look great and offer great Bang for Buck, call up your Congressman and demand America let in Chinese EVs.
The Nissan Frontier is a much better truck over the Toyota Tacoma. I bought a frontier and it’s a great truck.
Lets bring the toyota hilux to the usa
Toyota would just overprice it anyways
Use plastic use cheap labor build crap i could I just wont .....period
Worse POS I ever bought
Rod what did you pay and what is wrong?
Expensive and unreliable… ALL of them.
As ICE cars are getting worse, i am going EV for my next new car but not till 2028
I'm getting a horse drawn carriage.
If you can't pay cash for it you can't afford it?
Greed Mo Money Mo Money Mo Money shut up and give it up Mo Money WTF
