There are never mistakes in painting. I'm a newbie and in 3 years I've grown so much. Just keep painting over it. Sometimes I take thinner and loosen up the clumpy bits and use the canvas over and over to learn on. NEVER throw it away...it' all a step to another level! And painting isn't like drawing, just paint over it!.
