could use the addition of perfect knee-in to create a frame trap. basically if you space yourself with cr mk you can create the perfect spacing then knee-in on block you have enough frame advantage to sneak in a cr mp fk or cr mp/lp SB
iv just bought sfv on sale on psn... and i am loving guile.. he is my new main ( zangief and sagat in sfiv) i jumped straight into the multiplayer and am enjoying how defensive guile is.. Now ill be taking a closer look at your video to learn more. Thanks

I want to suggest something small though... you should leave the text walls on screen for maybe just a second or two longer, I understand that you can pause the vid to check it out, but when you're not prepared for it, it goes too fast to pause. But other than that, great vid as always!!!

The only thing I'd say is that the explanations go out too fast and there is almost no time to read them if you don't stop the video. Maybe it'd be good to keep that in mind of you decide to upload another video like this, which I would love to see.

Is Necalli that easy to keep away for Guile? I thought V-Skill and Disc's Guidance would be at least decent as anti-boom tools. Flash Kick obviously messes up Necalli's jumping MK/divekick mix up game though.
+Murderous Neil (Macal) Its harder to use them against Guile. Also, he can flash kick through Necalli's stomp much easier than other characters would counter it (since you're crouching already and just have to hit "UF")

How do you feel about Sim? I don't have this game, but I'm a long time SF player. It looks to me like Sim is a very, very bad matchup, because it seems that Sim beats him at every range, Especially long and mid range, but close range appears to be a problem as well. How do you deal with drills? They seem to beat all his AA's.
You have great fundamentals and reads with guile, but you need to optimize his max damage punish - stand fierce, crouch strong, flash kick. And on whiffed dps, go for crush counter backhand, foward dash, same link as above. It would make your guile an even bigger threat.

Why do you think Guile is disgusting? Guile has always been played generally the same. Hell, play Street Fighter 2 and Guile does the same thing. Guile is frustrating to fight against no doubt but people act like it's wrong. As if every character has to be this high risk running through a mine field "real man" pure rushdown concept.

Sounds like this might also be good to think about for Ryu's zoning game I'm trying to get strong at all of his aspects as a long term goal.. Though there is a strong temptation to betray Street Fighter 5 completely because the game underperforms drastically compared to some of the other new games I have... Those other games I have give me what I want with few compromises.. Which is not what I can say about SF5 though I wish it was a better game so I wouldn't have to say that... Guile is interesting and has good keep away options makes him very frustrating to fight.. But I don't hate him he's just annoying
Some of these players are mad stupid though. Whenever that Alex had meter he could just ex shoulder on reaction to any boom for a free in. Booms recovery is why its harder for Guile to keepaway now since anyone thrown is reactable by anti fireball moves unlike SF4s
7frames is a pretty generous estimate, when you have to take into account the time it takes to recognise a sprite it's closer to 15-20 i think (I remember a little flash thingy that used sprites from a game to measure reaction time for OH vs non-OH moves, median results were smth like 16 frames, i was over 18 -_-)

On day one, I already said Guile is broken tier. He should not have s on regular flash kick.
he doesn't they're only throw and projectile invincible. Like a tatsu. the EX one however....
upper body invincible for regular ones. so it works against any attacks that hit high. and around 5th frame or something he has full invincibility.
what about characters like bison who have a way to eat my projectiles? that really mixes me up
use v-skill I don't think he can absorb 2 hit projectiles

If he did the slide, he could've been blocked and punished. Same reason you don't do slides every time you see your opponent walking forward.

28 frame recovery boom. 14 frame ex elbow slash. 8 frame input lag. Including human reaction time which is 7 frames. Good luck.

I think he'll be nerfed. He does too much damage while also having insane zoning capability.
