This is one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen. To think what hell these children might come from, and to see how happy they are to be on stage singing, is one of the most powerful things I've ever seen.
I'm hosting three girls from the choir right now, and they aren't just wonderful singers--they're the most incredible kids I've ever met. So sweet and inspirational. :)

This choir was started for kids who didn't have homes. I still wish I could have them. I know Africa is not full of terror and poverty but there is still a ton of poverty and war in the country.

I was fortunate enough to be able to see the African children's Choir perform at a church and they are so beautiful and sweet. It was a very touching evening.
There is nothing faked in this video, neither the unbelievable joy the kids are havin nor how touched Josh is by them. I love this video more than any other one on youtube I have seen yet. And of course it made me cry aswell. Awesome performance and it´s true what two other users were saying: nothing compares to young voices´ eonthusiasm and that these kids are feeling more joy than any 1st world child could feel or express.
These kids just look so joyful....their radiant smiles beam a light across the heavens. Their obvious joy and love of life are inspirational. They seem to have a depth of appreciation that we, often spoiled, Americans can only aspire to achieve. Please, PLEASE teach YOUR children what these precious little angels already have!!

Those kids go on tour for a year at a time. my church has had them come quite a few times. they're amazing bunch of kids. they sing AND act like angels. some of the stories they lived would break your heart but they're so happy to be alive and be singing. its a great group. If you EVER have the chance to see the African Children's Choir; i STRONGLY recommend it.

I'm in tears of Joy to hear Josh whenever he sings this "hymn", also giving to others of himself, his faith as the composer of these words. Why ? I feel he wrote this as my life giving story, (also because Josh too was raised in the Episcopal Church family and God's Communion of humanity in his early voice training, Josh Groban's gift he shares with those who benefit from God's. gift of heavenly Love and Heart's longing for all of us; no matter what our own story is or was). Allow me in the Episcopal Church to share this as well, .........it's true. Thank You Josh, another artistic voice for us. + + +.

They are asolutly adorable! every time i whatch this, i get the chills those kids must have been through so much and they go on stage with everybody whatching, and they just give off the nicest smile in the world. They are the ones teaching us how to save the world.
I remember seeing the African Choir come to my church to sing when I was a kid! Years later when I was in College taking a summer Music Class to try to earn extra credit. I was struggling with a Potential F. When I had to present my Final exam on any kind of music topic, my Mom suggested I write and present my Paper on the African Choir! She told me how this program helped turn many of these kids lives around after they witnessed horrible things. This program helped turn their lives around when they got older! This presentation project brought my final Grade up to a B+ at the end!
We were all given voices meant to praise God. Josh and these children just do it so well. I couldn't hold back the happy tears hearing this now as I couldn't the first time I heard it.
This is by far the most amazing performance I have seen. It's beautiful. When I saw this years ago on Idol Gives back, it just made me cry. Everything is perfect about this song.
I just realized how lucky I am to have clothes on my back, food on the table, and a roof over my head. Some people don't realize it but I do. Please pray for the millions of kids who are starving and fighting to survive.

It is 2022 and this song still makes me teary and the children smile still makes me smile through my tears. So beautiful..
They all sounded wonderful and you could tell the smiles on the kids faces were GENUINE.
