One of the loveliest customs still practiced in many villages is the removing the bride's wreath by the first groom's mate and "capping" ceremony which usually takes place at midnight of the wedding day, after the festivities, when the bride re-appears in folk dress. The women gather around her and sing a traditional songs. After removing her wreath bride's godmother binds up and covers her hair with a married woman's cap or bonnet of a kind which she would wear for the rest of her life.
After the capping ceremony when the bride dances in a circle with her dearest friends, "Redovy tanec" the groom may rush in and sweep her up in his arms-"kidnapping the bride" being another ancient custom.

It is a very specific sort of singing, almost shouting. I'm Slovak and don't particulary enjoy it myself. The girls do seem a bit off key on the harmonies though.
