Robert Plant - a man without boundaries... An world ambassador of culture and music. An artist whose canvas knows no limits. Thank you and bless you as you continue on the road to your horizon.
Beautiful...This is the real thing, reminds me of Jimmy and Robert's travels to North Africa and other exotic lands with just a cassette recorder and a guitar, when the world was young!
Robert, you leave me intrigued. Looking forward to part two. BTW, Logan is so adorable just like his daddy. He may have Maureen's coloring, but just in the few shots I saw of him, I saw you baby. Both gorgeous.
Fantastic & look forward to the rest of the episodes. Brought back very vivid memories of being lucky enough to have spent time listening to the Joujouka musicians when I was in Morocco almost 30 yrs ago (gulp) & the incredible power of live music. Mali seems like an obvious next stop at some point. Cheers Robert.
Thank you..Can't wait for Pt 2. Have shared this with My Malian friend here in Colorado. He is a drummer from Mali, now living and preforming in the US, but his heart is Mali
HI, So does your friend recognize the music played here? I love it, and would love get some of this music to listen to. Thanks. (I am from Colorado too, but live in Costa Rica.)
Being part of that journey would have been a dream come true. This is the closest thing I'll get, so I guess I should thank you for uploading this and for showing me once again how wonderful this world and you are.
Excelente! Love the music. Where would I get it - going to stick into my yoga playlist, and rock it out. BTW - Robert - love you man! You're my favorite.
I LOVE this. But Robert needs to make a change and tell us who / what all this music is. What's the point of expanding our horizon's if we can't take it further and actually track this stuff down. Robert, please either add pop ups to the videos, or at least list a "credits" at the end to the music being played. Thanks for all your effort on making these for us. It's appreciated.
Maybe sometime you can add a narrative or subtitles to let us know some information about what we're looking at. I assume that the pile of weapons in the sand is some sort of memorial, but don't know what for. Thank you for sharing your travels with us.

Various malian artists. The beginning song is by Ali Farka Toure
kind of mysterious, he keeps getting drawn back to"camel county" must inspire him to make the most incredible music.
This is great. And very dry. Wish I could suggest half a dozen plants that could survive part of that arid landscape. Kasava, maringa, vetiva

Does anyone know the artist or name of the second song, played during the plane ride?
It's "Diaraby," by Ry Cooder & Ali Farka Toure. (Thanks, Shazam!)
