    I deal with chronic pain from hypermobility (all my connect-y bits are loose which causes my bones to dislocate super easily and for me to see 3 of everything all the time. it also causes pain in my joints) but I'm really glad there's this kind of comfort for people that deal with anything slightly similar- especially with how much people with invisible disabilities/illnesses get told we're faking or exaggerating

      Same, this is honestly so true, I get told everyday that I'm just trying to get out of tasks by blaming pains even when it really hurts

    • @despair_1312
      @despair_1312 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +5

      @@DHMIS_fanatic_06 I usually start explaining exactly what hurts, how bad it hurts, and what kind of pain it is. In my experience, people tend to be just ignorant, not outright hateful. that being said, if someone doesn't believe you're in pain, try to distance yourself from them

    seth is always so comforting to me (blah blah, something about growing up in the south). but also yuuri- i hope you take this video to heart, too.
    to everyone, regardless of your health, but especially if you have chronic health issues: keep pushing. rain comes, but the sun will come back soon enough. baby steps. even when it feels like your body is screwing you over, try to appreciate what it is able to do for you. you’re here, living. and that’s enough. you are enough

  • @despair_1312
    @despair_1312 ปีที่แล้ว +7

    something that I think a lot of people w/o chronic illness don't understand is the anger and guilt that comes with having a bad day. like, getting angry at people that are trying to help, especially when you know they're doing what they can and you're just gonna hurt for awhile. and then you get the guilt for being angry at someone that didn't do anything... ect
    this is just from my personal experience a disabled person/a person with chronic pain and anger issues

    • @HelloDusty
      @HelloDusty ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Very excellent point here. And I think that's something that could be discussed. Another facet of the anger is being angry with yourself because you WANT to be able to be active and do things/enjoy hobbies/be social/etc. but your body is screaming at you that you can't do that now.
      I wish I would have done it in this script, but it could be something to include in another one. I wish I would have done it in this script, but it could be something to include in another one.
      Thank you for the input, I really appreciate it :)

    Just got back from being hospitalised for the worst asthma attack of my life, and had staff mock and belittle me for that and my various other chronic health problems (which are flaring now lol) so it’s nice to get some slight validation that not everyone sees me the way some people do ❤

      @despair_1312 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      I was using a cane during a bad flare up and at least 70% of the people at my school were entirely convinced that I was faking for attention and that I wasn't actually using it (despite the wood of my cane bending with every step but whatever)- at some point I told my friends and omg the anger they felt for me made me feel so, so validated plus the help with little things I had trouble with. anyway, I hope that you have people on your life that do that for you and if you don't I'm happy to be one of those people

    • @dull_demon4717
