I'm so ready to dive back into this amazing world. And honestly if it was possible in the future. I'd love to see a remake of tail concerto, so that way it better lines up with the two recent ones. Otherwise I'm so excited to see what new in this world. Though I do miss the style of play from solatorobo.
@Cyber Console wolf you forgot to mention how many small snippets of info on certain aspects of these games are lost to us western players. All because no one bothered to implement these things into their games or even localize it for a western audience. And its a real shame since there's actually a story on how Red came to the orphanage that we never see in game. But is instead locked behind a old magazine from a different era of gaming left in Japan. Thankfully fans have translated it into English. But this vital piece of information could of been lost to time, never to see the light of day ever again. I'm definitely passionate for CC2 to deliver these high-quality experiences, but if they can't bother to actually say that these exist, and certain pieces of info being left out for international releases. Then CC2 is going to continue with the struggle of finding an audience outside of Japan. And believe me as a game developer, thats a nightmare I hope to never be in.

Since the game is so dense and would of required a far more expensive cart to fully fit it all in. Also the DLC isn't lost to time as its actually included in all English releases right from the get go. And if were gonna get technical for a second, DLC back then had to be stored on the cart/disc as the internet was way too slow to effectively load in extra data quickly. And in most cases, the DLC had only a small encryption key just so that way it was quick to unlock. And for the western release, they removed the encryption key entirely since the DS was old news already. And it would of been impossible for anyone to receive it here. As such all NTSC copies here already have it.
@Cyber Console wolf if I remember correctly, Nintendo actually has master copies of all retail products released on every one of their consoles in the Nintendo vault. So if CC2 ever ends up losing the source code. Then Nintendo in theory should have a backup in the vault. Also, they probably do have the source code as it was becoming a standard for most companies around that time. As for the reason why a 3ds port wasn't made was for several reasons. 1 is because the game was hand-built for the DS architecture. 2 is because it sold terribly (wanna guess why) so investment wasn't on the table. 3 is the license was still under Namco at the time, meaning it was impossible to fully control how to take the series. 4 it would of costed more to port to other consoles, in which the game was already a very expensive title.

@Cyber Console wolfI can't speak for the other consoles, but it's actually not all that uncommon for Switch titles to show up late on the eShop. Legend of Mana and (I think) Crash Bandicoot 4 weren't available for preorder until about 2 weeks before their release dates.
To me thats a fair price to be honest. Still getting it. I dont care for the gameplay. I care for the art, the story and characters. I can tell a lot of passion was put into this game.
