      Excellent Yes sometimes good to just in a separate file enter a little bit of information and check how the calculations are done. Sometimes harder to see in a big file.

    Hi Tom! Your videos are really helpful.
    I'm wondering if you could help me with a question; I'm trying to generate burndown reports for the work done on individual tasks (output packages) within a project as opposed to the entire project. All the reports and dashboards I've tried I can only seem to do for the entire project, and when I've tried to copy and paste the output package in a separate project just for reporting purposes the baseline data is missing. I'm stuck as to how to solve this problem

      Not sure Laura of full solution but you could save the file under a different name and delete everything you don’t want int he report it should keep baseline information

    Thank you for this presentation, Mr. Stephenson! Can I ask a general question please; (1) When do we change the Estimated start and finish dates to reflect the Actual start and finish dates of the tasks during the project, and (2) how does this adjustment affect the assigned % Complete of tasks?

      I think if you watch videos 5 and 6 updating and recovery it will show. In essence once you put something as actually started and list it as partially completed itcwill fill the bar up to the duration date eg a 10 day activity that is 70 percent complete will have a dark bar through day 7. Try it

    Great explanations. Is it possible to use CSI divisions for the WBS, or reference them somehow?

    • @TomStephensontraining
      @TomStephensontraining  ปีที่แล้ว

      Sure you can insert a text column and rename csi and enter appropriate divisions breakdown

    My views might account for half your total views! Would you explain the percentages for work/hourly Resouces? Is that a percentage of the entire job or that duration? Is that based purely on the scheduler's experience? If you discuss this in another video please direct me there. Thank you

    Based on my previous question @ 14:08, is the Site Super paid $2400 for 3 days?

    Dear Mr. Tom, thank you very much for your teaching, I have a question "What if I have subcontractors and I need to pay them an amount as advance payment, and then after every stage, an additional amount? What option should I choose to Accrue at ,Start or prorated, or end ?

    • @TomStephensontraining
      @TomStephensontraining  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Choose which one best illustrates your payments to the work. In your example the best is end except for deposit

    • @TomStephensontraining
      @TomStephensontraining  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Also it will never be perfect eg payments usually delay 30 days but it should be reflective of whats going on

    Is the percentage of PM allocated based on the number of projects that are running simulationsly at a time ? Ie100% ÷ number of projects.

    • @TomStephensontraining
      @TomStephensontraining  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes Really it will take the days for example 20 days and if the pm is assigned 50 percent then it will calculate half the days/hours. The pm might be working on another project at the same time or something else.

    how do I set a work resource to be paid a fixed monthly salary?

    • @TomStephensontraining
      @TomStephensontraining  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      No really easy way except to apply an hourly rate equal to hours and monthly pay unfortunately

    Hi Tom, I have just realised that in your MS PROJECT THE COURSE play list, there is no "Video No.4"... It´s jumping from #3 to #5 (this one). However, there should be a #4, right?
    FYI, and thank you very much.

      I’ll check in the mean time they should be listed in the descriptions if it is not listed in the playlists
