In war.. Its not about who is right or wrong.. Its about whos left. Sure many up and coming companies but when you have so many products that connect so easily and can be secured, its hard to beat. Others will compete but for now, Cisco is a monster -- STILL
Cisco is all about sales. There are companies out there that have far surpassed the technological aspects of classical networking techniques used by Cisco. Get your CCNA and take it elsewhere. Check out Juniper, Ubiquiti, Brocade, etc.

Internally Cisco is like a government agency, extremely slow and inefficient. This is why instead of competing with startups, they just buy those companies. But even then, they are unsuccessful executing plans and bring product to market. Cisco's fate will be no different than DEC, Compaq etc.
probably cisco would wire up their organization like this blade server to where they will deploy stuff in seconds and incubate all the up coming ideas and scale it.
What company would you say is the industry leader today, and why? Also, is there an up-and-coming company that shows potential to be a leader? Finally, since this video is a few years old, can you recommend a source for a more current and relevant explanation of the newest cutting edge datacenter technology and what company is leading that charge?
