The punch lines which ultimately makes the jokes were different. The problem is that the movements were the same and funny itself (which some can argue is a separate physical joke). The question is how many black men from the 90s drive their cars that way.

Definitely was inspired by Kat Williams! Its the same layout/set up of the joke. Its just a different joke/punch line, if that makes sense. Either way, Cedric's joke wouldn't have lost anything by acknowledging that Kat Williams inspired him.
It lines up perfectly. You have to remember, Cedric the Entertainer was a Comic View staple. Him, Earthquake, Arnez J and D'Militant were the main reasons I watched Comic View up the wahzoo. You can't blame anyone from drawing inspiration but Cedric the Entertainer did miss up by not giving Katt a big up. There's nothing wrong with giving credit where credit is due. You at times take inspiration and give it your flavor.
Cedric isn't wrong when he says its part of the business for comics to hear a joke and then change it up to be their joke. Usually nobody cares unless its repeated and seems like a comic can't come up with their own material and relies on stealing jokes. See Amy Schumer and Carlos Mencia as 2 comics other comedians hate bc both are known to frequently lie and steal jokes. This especially happens with comedians who have writers. The writers might hear a joke from someone else and then add that to the script. Its rare for there to be modern comedians who have their own material they write themselves. Most of today's comedians have writers or are crowd work guys bc that's easier than writing for every special or set you do.

Definitely was inspired by Kat Williams! Its the same layout/set up of the joke. Its just a different joke/punch line, if that makes sense. Either way, Cedric's joke wouldn't have lost anything by acknowledging that Kat Williams inspired him.
It lines up perfectly. You have to remember, Cedric the Entertainer was a Comic View staple. Him, Earthquake, Arnez J and D'Militant were the main reasons I watched Comic View up the wahzoo. You can't blame anyone from drawing inspiration but Cedric the Entertainer did miss up by not giving Katt a big up. There's nothing wrong with giving credit where credit is due. You at times take inspiration and give it your flavor.

Cedric isn't wrong when he says its part of the business for comics to hear a joke and then change it up to be their joke. Usually nobody cares unless its repeated and seems like a comic can't come up with their own material and relies on stealing jokes. See Amy Schumer and Carlos Mencia as 2 comics other comedians hate bc both are known to frequently lie and steal jokes.
This especially happens with comedians who have writers. The writers might hear a joke from someone else and then add that to the script. Its rare for there to be modern comedians who have their own material they write themselves. Most of today's comedians have writers or are crowd work guys bc that's easier than writing for every special or set you do.
Katts joke is about the car breaking down and him having to push it.. in this video, cedrics joke is about being on the moon driving a spaceshuttle.. the only resemblance is both of them acting like theyre operating a vehicle
I loved the Katt Williams interview with Unc. I view his issues and criticisms with his peers as beef between 2 people that has nothing to do with me. Katt Williams having beef with Ced or any of the other comedians won't stop me from liking any of those comedians because none of them did anything to me. Yeah, this is clearly inspired(if not plain stolen) from Katt. The reason I say stolen from Katt, is because if Cedric really was doing that joke for years before Katt did it, why did he not say anything to him about, especially when he saw him do it live and talked to him backstage afterwards?
Because he doesn't think it's stealing a joke just because he says "car" in the same joke or pretends to drive.
