    Thanks for the video!
It would definitely be worth it to cut a notch in the top of the wood block to seat securely and drill a hole for the ram of the jack, just to lock things together a little better.

How was the top of the coil compressor rigged up? With the fork that comes with it? And actually how sketchy is it to do it this way?

You explained everything pretty good and I watch some of your videos but at the moment I don’t have the money to rent a spring compressor, so is there another way you can do it without compressing the springs, the lower control arm on a 98 ranger

you do not need the tool to do this, just have a extra jack and jack up the lower control arm, remove shock and sway bar link and slowly, slowly let jack down and it works great and is much faster, ive done it many many times way faster and easei

@@terrylewis4302can confirm with this. All you need to do it lower that control arm until the spring is fully released and then take the bolts loose from the back of the control arm and the spring falls right out

Hey man I have a 99 ranger XL 2.5 (no ac bare minimum model) I just replaced the entire front suspension. Does the suspension just suck in these trucks?? Haha. I liked your flat bed build

They are easy to get parts onto but do to 7 different alignment points in the system a waste of time to try and do at home.

@@redneckcomputergeek thanks for tellin me haha yea I bought new camber bolts and I had to get an alignment twice. If I’m being honest I might get an alignment done again cause of that, and I’ll actually go to a place with a electronic machine. But yea dude thanks a lot for the videos on this truck I appreciate it especially the lowering the lower control arm to get out the coil spring.

My 1999 Ford ranger started making a loud creek one day and it got worse and worse and worse I replaced the front brake pads as I thought that was the problem did not fix it took off the rear wheels discovered that both will cylinders were leaking and the entire rear brake system was shot I spent $500 to have that repaired did not fix the problem I took it to a suspension shop that I had been going to for 25 years they adjusted the brakes and machine the rotors still did not fix the problem I took it back they lubed the entire front suspension still did not fix the problem I took it back they adjusted the calipers and the clips and everything on the brakes still did not fix the problem I took it back they rebuilt the entire upper suspension including upper control arms still did not fix the problem I replaced rear shocks front shocks sway bar bushings sway bar links still did not fix the problem I took it back they said it's the leaf springs I said are you sure they said yes I'm sure it's the leaf springs so I took it back to have those repairs done they did the leaf springs did not fix the problem took it back again they said well the problem is is these new brake pads are made out of softer material so there's nothing you can do about that I said well it was making this noise before any of the brakes were ever touched and it went for 10 years on the same brake pads before it started making this noise he said well it's in the brakes there's nothing you can do about it so I turn them into the bureau of Automotive repair it took about a month or 6 weeks but I got all my money back but in order to do that I took it to another shop and they figured out the problem and 3 minutes and the problem was the lower control arms the lower control arms That's all it was these guys are the best suspension shop between Fresno and Bakersfield and they could not figure out that the lower control arms were bad extremely sad extremely extremely sad I'm not going to defame these guys even though I should that's why won't you be their name but I just cannot believe that I've been trying to get this truck fixed for 2 and 1/2 years and I have taken it back to a mechanic over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again and they could not figure out that it was the lower control arms these guys rebuild suspensions and build suspensions for race cars monster trucks and tractors but they couldn't figure out this little problem on an ugly ass piece of crap little 99 Ford ranger

Why not release the upper control arm and remove the abs sensor. Then you don’t have to man handle it out. You hammer it and then just remove
