You can see the benefits in augmenting your workspace although there needs to be some proper UI and UX analysis to ensure that we dont find these things being built just for the sake of it. We are probably about another two years away before the technology is small enough for people to feel happy with using it. Right now HoloLens only allows for the user to see 40% of the overall viewing area.
Adrian Munn Two years into the future and I am still not seeing that many real world implementations of the Hololens, especially within the industry I work in. TH-cam time traveling.
Yeah I was more or less thinking that too while watching. Feels like before every stockmarket program has been made hololens accessible you can start laying workers off to be replaced by the AI. But Jason can rest assured for at least ten more years...Probably.
@Dwight A. Spencer 50 years? Why dont you take a look at 1970 and then compare it to where we are now. You are way too pessimistic. Are you typing this on your phone/ computer that you keep in your pocket that can beat you at chess and go?
Skype works but you can sync your HL to a PC and watch from there... if you can get it to sync, which I haven't been able to. Might be wired vs wi-fi networks :(
Cant wait to be fully integrated with my futures trading using AR! Lots of improvements Citi and my broker would need to make before i could do it. I would LOVE to help demo or develop part of their interface features.
Hyper Reality / Hybrid Reality / Blended Reality / Extended Reality.... too many terms leads to confusion amongst the companies n consumers!! Lets keep it neat n simple,VR= Immersive, AR= Superficial Digital Data, MR= Mixed Environments. MixedReality is adopted by Microsoft, MagicLeap, Meta n more companies.. MR is the final medium!! All the best!
Does this require AR at all? It just seems like a shiny demo with no real need. Would a trader look at this and say "wow my work would be 10x better and 10x faster with this"? Probably not. All of these 3D plots can be shown on a flat screen. Traders can afford large/extra screen real estate. The only AR-unique views were the guy using a tablet and needing to see the bigger picture, and then walking around the 3D graph, neither of which seems super useful for this use case. The gestures were slower to execute than with a mouse. Where is the real unique benefit here?
sweet setup. mix of real and holographic screens. i like it

Not enough people developed software or bought into VR .....this is 4 years old and still today (Dec 2020) only one in 2000 traders has VR.
Augmented reality... Trading in VR would suck.
best acting 2016
no need for the adviser. AI is gonna take his job.

@Dwight A. Spencer interesting piece. I will have to go over that again.
Say goodbye to monitor and tv screens :)
true... all you would need is an apartment with large white walls and place to sit, beer and snacks.
@Goldenhand the Just my thoughts exactly
im curious to see how software development could evolve to be like with these

Which software can you use for showing dynamic objects on the video? Thank you so much.

This is so funny
AI is better than human doing this. lol
my god... this is boring, what a waist of technology!!!! come on the hololens deserves better than this!
I know, right... What a pelvis of technology!
