I was 11 before I got a sister and now I am 20 and she is 11 and we never fought and we have always been really close. It doesn’t matter how far apart in age you are you will still love each other!

From the 30 year old auntie of two beautiful girls (3 & 5), I sincerely advise you to wait out marriage as long as possible. It’s a very serious commitment and potentially messy situation. I think you have a beautiful family but you just never know how you’ll feel in 5 years, 10 years, etc. My sister was 22 when she had her first baby and 25 with the second. Seeing the struggles she goes through with her relationship and with raising older kids is a lot. Don’t rush marriage, you both will change soooo much in the next 10 years which sounds like forever but trust me it goes so fast ♥️ Just offering my 2 cents ♥️

brooke, you shouldn’t pressure him if he’s not ready for marriage, getting married is a big commitment, you guys are still high school age, I think it’s completely reasonable to not want more kids until 20.

I think he is right to wait. My sister was 18 when she had her first child, and she married the father at 22. I know you guys are in a good relationship, but some younger couples get married young and then divorced. There is no rush to get married, and being young I think you both will grow and change, and your boyfriend is mature to want to wait on marriage and another child.
Yup I’m 30 and who I was at 16 was so different than my 21 yr old self and so on. You think you’ll be the same but you change and even your future plans and desires change. My career desires changed so much. I hadn’t truly discovered what I wanted to do until about 24- an artist. And so yea who you are and what you want in life can change sooo much. So definitely wait until making such a huge commitment let alone another child. I actually think siblings closer in age are more likely to fight and argue as opposed to be close. They might be close as younger kids but as they get older they’ll most likely fight more. Idk just my thoughts

My daughter is 20.... Getting married at 20 is so young. One needs to be very stable before getting married.

Biology is sooo important. Anatomy is apart of biology and could help some girls and guys know the human body more and therefore possibly prevent teen pregnancy- you are doing a fantastic job amd so lucky to have the support system you do. But let’s be honest. Being a mom at any age is hard and teen pregnancy should not be encouraged. You are very mature and so lucky to have a bf that is helpful and supportive as well as a family that is too.

And 22 seems like a good age but yall have a kid so getting married young shouldnt be that much of a big deal since yall already live together & all that. It really makes me sad to hear that you did not have supportive teachers. But what you need to do is get even. Get your degree, and then think about what you want in your life? Not just being a mother or married. What do you want to do in your life? You can have many roles. What do you like? Do you want to be a teacher? That is just an example, but you have to have your own passions.
A stay at home mom is a real job and one of the hardest jobs actually so she can do that if she wanted
