Almost exactly six years on, it's still such an awesome video! And Rovanperä in a Fiesta R5 on his way to his first WRC2 win; Kalle in a Ford is a pretty rare sight in retrospect 😅
avantgardeaclue is not so hard if you tried some dirt rally or WRC 6/7 with a wheel with modern etc cars, they are pretty beast to handle cars are spot on, then try the older rally cars and see the difference
i like playing racing sims all the time but for fuck's sake those games aren't anywhere near the real thing. there is no danger, no g- force, no feeling of accelerating or stopping, no felling of suspension rocking your car up and down, you just comfortaby sit in a chair looking at the screen, just from that there is no way you could learn what does a real rally race feel like. and although the handling can be done very well in some of those games, it is still not close to the real car. and besides, even if the sim racing could teach us a thing or two, most of us wouldn't have anywhere near enough balls to actually pull of something like this at all even if we would know how. all of those are just games made to make people feel good and have fun, regardless of how good of a sim it is.

i drive a golf 2 its fwd and i just started out i have a 1.3 done some things with the carb and upgraded the radiator to a bigger one so i have 155/70/13 tires on it since i am student without no money and i got these for free Ms with fronts having all the studs so the 1.3 i have fitted a Disel gearbox so now i have traction problems in hooking up in mud and snow is there Some ways i can make it gain some traction at least (i know getting bigger tires might be the only way but is there anything more) . sorry if i make no sense any help would help a lot.
I was thinking man you could get some great footage with a racing quad and lo and behold there was one lol. They can hit anywhere from 120kmh plus, 150-170kmh isnt uncommon but probably not with a GoPro weighing it down. Would be easy to get great footage. Main problem would be the video transmission distance and legality of it.
