Man this song and video have aged incredibly well, still looks and sounds fresh.
David Murphy I thought the exact same thing! I remember buying this album 17 years ago and it still sounds fresh.
Industrial metal/rock sounds fresher as time goes on and we become more industrialized and....synthetic.
Damn I forgot how great these guys were. I haven't heard this song for over a decade and it still rocks. I wish more bands were making this type of metal.
Holy shit! This 15 years ago. MTV2 was the shit back then. How times have changed...
Tommy Decker is probably one of the most versatile drummers on this planet. Love that guy's style.
Agree! Tom is also one of the most underrated drummers too! Wish he and Spineshank held together longer!
Masky: we have universal monsters and Batman villains we have to stop them
holy shit .just realized this album turned 20 years old recently. I'm blown away. can't believe I'm that old. got this shit when I was 13 i think haha

Spineshank is the best band out of SGV! They need to reunite and make a new album! Memories 2001 Ozzfest !
Blows todays music away LOVE it
Amadeus Eisenberg hate to say it, but pushing black culture on everything. Hip hop is cancer
This whole cd is amazing
This Asthmatic and New Disease were staples of my mix CD's 20 years ago
Never knew that he is a Filipino since I've talked to him! 😂 Cool Guy! Such an underrated Band! 🤟🏾😎
Man this takes me back, living in the UK, this was a Scuzz anthem back in the 2000s.
Ah, to discover metal for the first time again, I'm a metalhead for life 🤘
Such an underrated band
Right????? I love this song (band, and album) they’re amazing; underrated Asf
Been following Spineshank/Silent Civilian since their B-Side days and napster was around lol, height of calousness was my 3rd ever album i bought and probably the best investment of my entire life, there are very few bands i can say i love every single track they every released or made But Jonny Santos is a songwriting genius.
This music is from my childhood, and now, after about 16 years it still one of the favorites !!
god this was one of my jams when i was younger... holy shit its 2020. i feel old
I was a edgy teenager when this came out. Now I'm a 34 with a daughter and will end a bitch who tries.
20 years I have waited to find this song. Saw it in 2000 and didn't know the name of the band. There is a god🤘🤘🤘
One of the best metal songs ever.. Takes me back to my childhood at the Motocross tracks where I grew up racing bikes, played a few MX games that featured this track as well.
Man, when they scream at each other in the vid, it still gives me chills. What a song.
I always loved these guys and their videos lmao, pure unadulterated late 90s contrasts into early 2000s material, nu metal, industrial metal etc. love it.
98'-2003 so many bands ahead of their time Orgy and Spineshank to name a few.....ahh the good old days :) lol
i remember being 13 or 14 and finding this the baddest-ass shit i'd ever heard. i still find them way better than most nu-metal from those days, and i'm happy to say they helped me later get into the heavier styles. also, Spineshank were the first band I ever saw live. thanks for the memories :)
@@copypaste_pro Not cool man, the old geezer posted 3 years ago, Covid probably got him shortly after he that. RIP Old Brett; tell the angels in heaven the story of how your first ever pair of shoes melted because the earth was still hot and how you lost your virginity to a beautiful Australopithecus girl and gave her VD causing her species to die out. Tell them all your stories Old Brett, they won't be listening, but tell them anyway.
such a greatly underrated band. why are these guys not on the radio?...because the radio sucks
If this was on the radio the Legion of Christian Mothers against Devil Music would form a picket line

Megaforce Omar nice to hear a podcast worth listening too! Spineshank kicks ass! I grew up and went to school with Toms little bro. Great family! Shoutout to the Deckers!
0:28 literally the best pre-chorus to any metal song I can think of.......
...this song should have been way bigger - hits just as hard as the first time I heard it.
Legit just discovered this song/band and my god where have they been all my life! Would have fell in love with this song in my teens!
Welcome to the early 2000s nu metal scene. I found this band at 15yrs old when they released New Disease on The Height of Callousness. How did you run across them this late in the game? 🤣
@@chromey5938 Spotify, the band gives me powerman 5000 and drowning pool vibes!
Check out Unloco and Ultraspank as well and the best band ever PRO-PAIN. 👊
@@travisconrad5035 Pro-Pain for the win! They were heavy for the era. I don’t think I remember the others you mentioned but I did listen to ill Nino and they were tough too. Also, don’t forget Dry Kill Logic…
This song never gets old
Johnny Santos is still one of my favorites
I saw Spineshank perform at The Dugout in Bakersfield CA along with Hed P.E. 15 years ago. Kick ass show
Dude This Song Is so Freaking Hard for no reason
2:23 one of the most epic metal screams ever!
You gotta check out Flaw then lol THAT dude has one of the most awesome screams
@@Tonys_Gabagool Dude thank you I couldn't think of Flaw until I saw your comment lol
I fuching Love SPINESHANK 🤘🤘🤘🤘
who’s still listening in 2024?! 🤘
I am. Loved this album when it first came out, one of the last CD's I ever bought.
I love nu-metal bands these
If only bands from this time knew how much the futuristic aesthetics inspired me as a little kid. This, Powerman 5000, Static-X, Orgy, etc.
Spineshank is my favourite Nu Metal band above all
Miss this era . These guys define the awesomeness of raw nu metal
I saw Spineshank 7 times at the Royal Grove, Lincoln Nebraska!!!!
First metal album I ever bought. These guys singlehandedly got me into metal.
1 of my fav Spineshank songs... especially when Johnny and the synthetic version scream at each other :D \m/ !!!!
I will all ways love this album
When music was still good. I miss these days. The good days.
Brings back good memories from days past. still kicks ass
No matter how many times I hear this song I still love it
So glad I randomly remembered about this song - hadn't heard it since they played live in Nadur in Gozo! Great song!!
2019 and this song still slaps
used to bump these guys and powerman 5000 alot \m/
Miss these guys😞 plz make more music 🤘
ummmmmm still love this cd!!!! always sing every song!
THIS SONG ROCKS MY BRAINS OUT!!!!!!! ITS TOO MUCH AWESOMENESS!
I try to come down then i hear songs like this! 40 years old bro. Broooooo!
this has to be one of the coolest music videos ive ever seen
i listen to all music (metal, rap, country, electronic etc etc) and let me say i grew up listening to these guys. i can relate to the music 100% and their sound is dope. i know roadrunner brought them back and they are in the studios making another album so lets hope they stay this time :)
High School was a strange time for me as a metalhead. This album is far better than most of the nu-metal I was listening to, but these guys went from being Fear Factory, Jr., to Orgy part 2. Then they disappeared, and re-appeared, trying to come across as more of a traditional metal band. Didn't work. Everyone remembers these guys being kind of a joke...even if Burton C. Bell and Wayne Static (R.I.P.) were big supporters.
The days of Nu-Metal are an odd chapter in the history of Heavy Metal.
Pretty sure video killed the radio star with this band... Look like they belong in an episode of Buffy.
Height of Callousness stands above most of the nu-metal albums of the time, shame they didn't last.
The Beauty of Truth.....Nobody Knows What it Is...
2022 and I forgot how good these guys were. I remember seeing them in concert with Ill Nino in 1999.
Ok I don’t know why, but I literally just found out about these guys and I know they’ve been broken up forever but I love it! Nu metal
saw this guys in concert and saw the drummer absolutely DESTROY his drumset. Easily one of the hardest hitting drummers I've ever seen.
Met these dudes on the 01 Ozzfest tour and I don’t have enough good things to say about all of them. They were extraordinarily cool, interesting and kind.
One of the all time greatest bands ever
Probably one of the first bands I ever listened to that has a good roar! This would have been before I found Slipknot. My tastes have matured a lot since then, now its Insomnium and Opeth but I never forgot this video and the bit where the robot echoes his roar back to him. Good stuff.
Decade latter and the songs still good
LOVE SPINESHANK .....
GUYS THIS IS YOUR CHILDHOOD!
respect it..
had this on the go for a few days now.... Totally addicted to it!
Year 2000, freshman year of high school, bleach blonde spikey hair, JNCO jeans, long white T Shirt, braces, misunderstood.
After all these years, for some reason I would've loved a Wayne Static cover
Still blasting this in 2018!
loved it in highschool. 2001. still do. Listen to this, my son

I just had a nostalgia-gasm. Oh, teens in the early 2000's.... back when life was fun.
Instant FABRICATION
Wowww ya más de 20 años que vi esta joya en MTV que tiempos..😎🖤🔥🎶🎵🇵🇪🤘🏻
Oh man I remember this one! One of the first bands that got me listening to Metal music. Thanks, Spineshank and also Roadrunner Records!
Strictly diesel is by far the best spineshank album and always will be. They should've made it big but never did. weird how that happens to some really good bands.
The singer was the problem. He let the downfall of this band, partying and other shit got to his head. Trust I got a good connection to them
Spineshank was an amazing band.
Geeze, it's been years since I've heard this... that algorithm does some real nice things for you once in a while.
Still their best album, still listening!!
Awesome song!
Want their Jackets so Badass looking!
2018 and still awesome
Best Spineshank song by far.
Fantastic memories from 2002 of covering this song aged 16 in a mate’s room. I was on bass and backing vocals (i.e. screaming “SYNTHETIC!”).
Looking back I feel sorry for my mate’s neighbours. Can’t have been nice having five teenage cretins hammering out nu-metal all night.
I would love to have neighbors like that I would have been headbanging to you guys lol 🤟🏼🎸🥁
Holy shit I forgot this tune even existed for years 'til now, and still remember all the words...love when that happens :)
2019 and I will listen this band until the end of my days
Was barely a teenager when I discovered this song, this and songs like it marked my transition to metal. Can’t believe I suddenly remembered this song after all these years. It’s the bit were the robot screams back at him, it awoke something inside me that’s never gone away. Roar for the win!
This song reminds me of times long long ago, when I was a 13 year old kid, playing Unreal Tournament 24/7 while listening this album on repeat! :D
good old times!!!
love this song
Hidden gem of a song!
I always hear the “this band is underrated” but ya know what? This band is hella underrated, there music actually sounds amazing and catchy
Still to this day, many years on, how that robot looks at the singer and reacts.. Give's me a more realistic feel than hollywood movies of today.
Do these guys even still make music?? They were really good, and this song really makes me feel nostalgic....anyone else feeling old listening to this song in their 30s? lol
This song was on every mix cd i burned to listen to in my car back in 2001-2002.
This album is 20 years old today. Just thinking about that alone makes me feel old.

still jamn this on the daily.
Still loving this track in 2019
Awesome Chorus
High tech low life cyber metal. Spineshank we need you bros.

This song and video is actually more relevant now than it was when it was first made, crazy.
Still a quality jam. 2019.
epic song, still freaks me out after all these years
Holyshit blast from the past so glad i came across this video i was rocking this when it 1st came out
God I miss MTV2 with these types of videos playing all day. The good times.
What music channels? They're practically non-existent these days.
In the UK, Kerrang plays this video like all the days, in their nu-metal countdowns, Scuzz is another great channel that still plays videos from them, Rebel and Slusnej Kanal in Czech Republic, RCK in Germany, and for the last A-One UA in Ukraine, all of them plays rock and metal videos all day. I just wish MTV X could return someday
Nobudgetking mtv are has been become synthetic
Nobudgetking we have kerrang tv now
It sure was good times. This is almost classic rock (metal) nowadays. Not quite,
but soon. That means our generation can start playing the shit out of it and irritate our kids like the 70s and 80s people did to us.
