Looks good. My Cobra 3 pedal version has served me well in all but very cold conditions. The quick lock system on mine sometimes fails to lock in icy cold, and I've nearly lost a tripod head a few times because of this. It seems to be locked, and the next minute the head's popped off and rolled down a mountain... In warm weather it's fine, but it'd be great if this area could be improved on.
I don’t like how crowdfunding is now just big companies getting preorders. It used to be for small startups to gain capital and launch a product they otherwise couldn’t afford to do.
You tried a small company they take your money and they never send your product I've lost about four projects that have backed with small companies easy for you to say when you don't lose money
When an established company and brand uses Kickstarter for the next product it just means that they themselves don’t believe in the product and want you to give them an interest-free loan.
It is strange, but they do have a good reputation for their monopods. I just looked and it's £143, that's a good price. But they do have competition with Sirui and YC-Onion doing similar designs.
I really want this but established companies launching products on Kickstarted feels like a cheap thing to do. Take pre-orders on your site or something... don't use a platform like that. Just makes it feel like a MAYBE rather than a real product that works. I have the Cobra3 and love it. I want this today... but I just don't get the ameture fundrasing tactics.
It looks great. I have the preivous vertsion which i like a lot

They can still do so
Entrepreneur move of basically making an email/customer list to see how many will buy it.
Kinda like Elon's Cybertruck $250 deposit.

Monopods are great if you behind the camera. For anything else a tripod is the choice.
I have both, but use my monopod more.
*i WILL be getting this while STILL keeping my Cobra2 because Why NOT have (2) lol*

Can you give me the link , I would like order the tube only with quick lock because I have cobra 2 already, thanks
If the legs were extendable (to increase stability)👀- Could be close to the 'perfect' monopod.

what weight can it handle?
Just sent ifootage a few ideas for future Strike 4 and beyond (exciting ideas 💡) Think ifootage are going to like it!
nice
It's an aluminum monopod though. No carbon fibre right now it seems.
Kickstarter is used as marketing now. Companies put their products up to generate hype.
Good point, I didn't think of it from that angle
Grrrr not tall enough, 150cm is not eye level for a lot of people.
add the head and camera and you should be there
Agreed, I have 2 of the prior versions. 180cm is barely enough with head and camera.
@@TechMediaLifr No, the head will add on just a tiny bit, making it only about 5.2 feet tall or so.
