After the release of the albums Enter and Mother earth, the band could have changed its name, a beautiful work was ended and became just another pop band. I still listen to the first albums with a lot of nostalgia and respect.
They are great in the studio, but nothing compared to live. She is an angel on stage with her passion and amazing voice. Sharon is my favorite female singer on the planet, especially in the early years.
Sucks that she currently uses autotune in her brand new music as are many other great vocalists when writing new music. Too much of today's new music, whether from new bands are older bands are using way too many layers in their music and also using way too much computer software plug in tools as well. Miss this old Within Temptation and miss that 1990s decade in general because music was raw, real and simple and by simple I mean not overproduced.
I think k the real reason why Within Temptation changed their style sooooo much after "The heart of Everything" is because Sharon's voice is ageing and she's probably not able to hold the high notes as strongly as she once did! She uses a lot of her chest voice nowadays instead of head voice and , to me, she just sounds like she's screaming other than singing in an operatic way! This Within temptation will forever stay in my heart and may the newer generation of fans enjoy their work now!

This is what WT was about in the early years. Sadly they never play this one anymore nor Another Day. Leaving these gems unplayed is a crime.
