      My brother, how are we going to get there if we refuse to take any steps? When we sent somebody to buy equipments for us from Airbus he went and bout himself disgrace. Then we have Showboy who has spent millions to buy pretty civilian Jeeps for GAF. Massa he could have inaugurated several Drone battalions with thag money.

    Kindly it's humble request that we start building our own machines in that sector, we might be far back,but we can start now. Waiting to get money to buy these 5th gen jets and weapons from the west that we still won't even get full authority over them is a waste. Please lets start ours now.❤

    When you get a chance to talk to most of our leaders( Civilian and Military) they seem to agree on things that are very dangerous to our national security. These are some of the points they quickly throw at you.
    1. That since Ghana has never attacked or intend to attack anybody ,no other country will attack us.
    2. Our destiny is in God's hands.
    3. If we get attacked the Americans and the British will send in troops to help us (like they did in Mali and Liberia?).
    4. Our military is very well trained.
    5. Our military is very well equipped.
    6. The UN and the world will never watch on while millions of Ghanaians are killed ,miamed and displaced. (Because we are more special than Somalia,Haiti, Rewanda,Congo,CAR,Sudan,South Sudan,Ethiopia,Eritrea, Libya,South Africa,Kenya,etc,etc)
    7. We can switch our nation on to a war footing overnight if we have to. Advanced training and equipping our military now is unnecessary.
    8. We don't have enemies. Everybody loves us.
    9. We can wait and buy everything our military needs when they need them.
    10. Maintaining a well equipped and well trained military is too expensive and waste of money that can be used for something more important.
    Other countries even in our hemisphere who held similar misconceptions have paid and still paying very dearly for it.
    WAKE UP GHANA. WE WILL NOT SURVIVE WITH ROADS AND EDUCATION ALONE!!!

      In today's highly unstable world environment, I couldn't agree with you more. Instability across the globe is predicted to get worse in the foreseeable future, not better. Therefore, we need to be adequately prepared to face any challenges whenever and wherever they occur. Ghana needs to up its game when it comes to matters of national defence. We've been joking with the business of Ghana's military capabilities for too long. It is time we invested in an armed forces that is capable of demonstrating credible deterrence against potential enemies, whether internal or external, of our country. Given the dearth of the needs, a target of 5% of GDP to be spent on Ghana's defence must be the goal of every government over the next twenty-five years in order to achieve anything resembling a credible fighting force. Anything less would a disaster for our country.

    And today what happened to our cooperation with Israel?We could have been one of the best should we have kept that cooperation. Look at what Israel has become from air to space domain with their top notch defense industries. We have to make things right to make our defense a world class.

    • @FivioLamar
      @FivioLamar 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      We would have prolly being like Singapore whose military especially the air force is one of the best in Asia and was made from scratch by the Israelis and still cooperate with the Israelis

    • @sunnyyande378
      @sunnyyande378 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@FivioLamar , if they have to cooperate with the Israelis to the extent that the Israelis will help build and run the air force, then what happen to the Kwame Nkruma ideology of "the black man can rule himself?" Also do not forget the disadvantages that would have come with the cooperation given that a sizable population of Ghanaians are Muslims. I think that Ghana should improve her air force by themselves and remain a peaceful country that she is than to go and solicit for unnecessary cooperation that will do Ghana more harm than good.
