That figure was determined by the court based on his income, it's not whether SHE needs the money to not he has to financially contribute to supporting his children and be had not been doing it. but what was her wrong? Did she cheat on him? Did she not take care of the home, neglect the kids? neglect him? She seems to have kept her side of the arrangement. She seems indifferent with him, but if someone does you wrong, you have the right to be angry and/or indifferent. I don't think she needs to just wrap it all up in a bow and move on for the sake of a tv episode. These people don't even have to interact with each other in the world any more. They came on here for a check. Any healing that was to be done, or doors that needed to be closed, was done long before they came on this show.

Actually, he flip flops. He told her that he wanted another chance a few years later. However, he was also verbally and physically abusive. Both needed to let go. Very toxic.
She called her out about that house and I was so glad. Someone had to do it. That’s where all the child support checks went to. SMH That’s why he didn’t want to pay her because he knew the truth about her. Sheree was pissed about the house comment and she basically was over the show at that point to me.
Sharee really couldn’t stand to look at herself in the mirror. Bob was a lot more honest and willing to take accountability for his actions. Sharee wouldn’t admit she was building the house for herself or that she was angry or bitter. It’s literally written on her face. Bob took accountability for abandoning his kids and hurting Sharee. Sheree’s eye-rolling, hair tossing, not following Iyanla’s rules, and lack of accountability speak volumes to her intention of the process. Also, Bob’s perception of accountability helps him to see that vulnerability is a strength, not a weakness in terms of parenting.

These fame marriages are usually built on the wrong values. The wives are beautiful (nothing wrong with that) but you can't base a marriage on superficial. The men have to be banking (nothing wrong with that) but once again superficial. The expensive life style. However, foundation of marriage can't be built on sand (material things and beauty). It has to be built with very strong material (morals, values, spiritual).

I was trying to decide where to start and how to word it, but I saw this comment and didn't need to write my own. All I gotta say is Yessss and Amen!!! 🙌🏽 Sherree really got on my nerves in this video. So rubbed me the wrong way. She seems like a pretty shell of a person. I don't feel sorry too much for Bob because he lived and made choices like so many empty rich men live and make choices. He saw the chance to snag a woman who, if he didn't have money, he otherwise probably would have never been able to approach. Those children were her "investments" into the lifestyle she wanted before she even met Bob. All of this is SO sad, especially for the children.

As a black man who's attracted to black women, it saddens me to say that I see way to many black women with masculine Energy with some nasty attitude. This might be because we have way to many fatherless homes.
Bob equally participated in ruining his children's lives, if not more. He caused his children to have abandonment issues during his extended absence. Both parents appear to be emotionally unavailable to their kids. Sheree was preoccupied with her own wants and needs although she didn't physically abandon them like Bob.

I'm a child of Divorce and my dad was a horrible father. This situation though is because of the mother. She's a control freak and its unfair. The dad may not be perfect but she needs to chill and let him be a dad. This typical " poor woman" and "dead beat dad" crap is old now. @@teejay8910 My parents did the absolute best to make sure I had good childhood. It was by no means perfect but very good. The problem with these two is as Iyanla plainly stated they blame each other and talk negative which prevents them from being able to co parent. Yes the marriage was in shambles from the beginning. It was nice at the end that they were able to grab each other's hands on their own and put their pride aside for the best interest of their children.

Man, this full episode really changed my opinion on Bob. The segments before made it look like he was the absolute bad guy but it's clear she was still very stuck and angry whilst he wanted to just move on for their kids. She was making it about her.
I think Bob didn't wanna pay because unfortunately Sheree is so materialistic that she'd use the money for herself and not neccesarily her kids. We've seen with our own eyes how financially immature she was, with her buying a $10,000.00 bag and having no furniture in her rental home at the time so yeah I can understand his perspective.

I love Sherae so much. Her hurt and pain played out as I was goi g through a bitter divorce. Seeing how she projected her rage on everyone around her made me look at myself and helped me heal. My mother taught me to never be desperate. Sheree is bitter. Too much ego. My parents were divorced. My mother never got between us and my father. They both sat us down and explained what divorce was and what that detailed. It was amicable and they remained friendly. She also had to sue him for child support, but she did it smiling.
Sheree does appear shallow and materialistic on RHOA and I agree with Iyanla that she built the Chateau as a status symbol to Bob and the world, rather than as a haven for her children. However, I think Iyanla’s criticism of Sheree’s desire to own such a large and expensive home while simultaneously suing Bob for child support was unfair. Child support amounts are typically calculated by the courts according to state statutes and regulations and oftentimes, regardless of the debts of the parents. Bob had both the moral and the legal obligation to financially support his children, notwithstanding his ex-wife’s expensive tastes and questionable judgment. And it appeared on the show that Bob refused to pay the court-ordered child support simply to spite her. What able and loving parent says “I’m not paying child support because you have enough money and don’t need it?” - ???. - Years after this episode aired, Sheree disclosed during the taping of season 9 of RHOA that Bob was physically, emotionally and verbally abusive to her during their marriage. In retrospect, it seems that Bob’s decision to withhold payment of child support was another form of abuse. Sheree may not be “all right but she ain’t all wrong either.”
Agree 100%!!! I couldn't believe what he said about child support! He doesn't get to decide whether or not she receives child support. That is his obligation to his children. Bottom line! And like you stated, it's a formula based on *both* their incomes!! I watch a lot of child support court hearings and the thing that surprises me the most are the number of people who can't believe how much a child support order is or they say things like, "that's too much!! It doesn't cost that much to take care of kids! She's just gonna use that money to get her nails done!!" 🙄 There was a non-custodial father who made a six figure income and had consistently for years. He felt $1200 for their three kids was "more than enough." Even though the order is based on a *formula* and the mom had their kids 90% of the time. Smh Not even taking into consideration that his children had lived with him and were accustomed to a certain lifestyle. In no way am I saying that children should get everything they want just because their parents make a substantial amount of money. However, it was disheartening that he wanted his kids to go from living in a nice home to a one bedroom apartment because he didn't want to properly financially support them.
