Laguna Waterpark Dubai - Final Water Slide POV's Before Closure

Laguna Waterpark was located close to Jumeirah Beach in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Due to re-development of the La Mer precinct, the park has closed permamently from March 24. The permanent closure was and still is surprising to many as the entire water park was only a few years old when this was announced. Laguna Waterpark was surrounded by the Persian Gulf since it was situated on a small peninsula, creating an unique atmosphere. Furthermore, due to its proximity to Downtown Dubai, you could see the stunning skyline of the city from the park. While the ride lineup was not as strong as at other major water parks in the city (such as Atlantis Aquaventure and Wild Wadi), you could still find a decent ride collection by White Water which included a trapdoor slide and even a giant funnel ride. It is very sad to hear Laguna Waterpark is closed for good as the unique and elaborate maritime theming of the park can hardly be found anywhere else.

La Mer (das Areal, in dem der Wasserpark war) wird neu gestaltet. In Dubai nicht ungewöhnlich, dass solche Redevelopment-Projekte durchgeführt werden.
