@@mariannem3935 depends on the cats, my 2 Norwegians and my Siberian love to snuggle and groom each other and we got them at different times, my Bengalxdomestic shorthair and Bengalxragdoll love each other as well and my Maine coon, oriental, domestic shorthair, some sort of cross (rescued off the street so not sure) all curl up together and so did the pure Bengal until he unexpectedly died at the age of 5 a couple months back:( One of the Norwegians is in love with the four dogs, the other Norwegian and the Siberian don’t mind them and the Maine coon depends on what she’s feeling but the others prefer each other to the dogs by a long way!

I have more cats at home, not related - that came at different moments in time - some as kittens some as adults - none pure breeds...just cats from the streets...What I find NOT funny in this video its that the humans just let the puppy take all the places that the cat loved. And the loving pats as well...So no, not funny at wall from the point of view of a cat lover. The cats love being loved as much as the dogs, I assure you. And are very loyal and loving in return.

At least here we see the cat being around the puppy mostly when the puppy is being calm and mostly allowing the cat to have proper space and height to feel relatively secure about the change in the household.
I tried to look for what breed Milo is but he looks very much like a Siberian cat. They are known to be the most dog like breed of all cats, incredibly social. I introduced all my Siberians to each other within one day cause they're so social.

Cats can just be like that with new animals. My girl cat took weeks to get adjusted. They don’t like change. It doesn’t mean they’re necessarily distressed by it. Her body language doesn’t suggest stress. Just curiosity and adjustment.
I feel bad for Milo! My sense is that he really needs some reassurance that he’s not being displaced or loved any less, especially with the new puppy taking over his usual places! Please give him lots of TLC 🥰
Honey, I'm a cat lover, too, but trust me, Milo is fine on the inside. 😄 Many Cats act naturally suspicious and irritated whenever their "human staff" make any changes at all, yet alone when they dare to bring in new competition for the spotlight. And some particularly vain breeds and personalities even turn into mortally offended drama queens just to make a point. Milo just needs a few days to adapt but I'm sure he doesn't actually feel replaced. He's far too smart and well-established in the household for that.
If that is really the kitties bed, that's cruel to him and should not have happened. Introduction should always be done in a positive way for both animals. Cute puppy, kitty is absolutely beautiful.
i really wanted to say this, you guys have such a beautiful maine coon! Milo was pretty well behaved when she got close to the puppy. It’s pretty funny how he didn’t notice milo being there most of the time
Though not all the time at all, it is possible. I have 2 Maine coon cats (only fair, I live in Maine!!) The girls seem to know when another cat comes over, I won't be keeping it. It is only being here for "fur sitting." My problem is the Mal/husky (or more) I have. They have always left the twins alone. I suspect because the girls were here first, plus they are 13yo now and well-versed in keeping the 2 breeds in their place. Any cat I fur sit (even the Maine Coons) have to be kept in my bedroom and under guard of the Much Respected girls, who can strike fear in the heart of a Mal/husky with one hiss!!! Personally, I would not do it. When this husky (my last Mal passed 2 yrs ago) passes (she will be 7 on 12/26), I am adding a Maine coon or 2 (although I am considering Himalayans, as I miss mine), to establish their hierarchy, before I add another Mal/husky. I believe that is how it works best.

Not really. Rewatch previous clips of Buddy meeting everyone. He immediately starts to jump, sniff, run& play, and even bite them playfully; while Teddy was a bit shy seeing them for the first time, hiding in Shane's lap. Teddy became playful gradually.

I guess you never had a baby. Newborns definitely do not sleep all the time, lol. My youngest woke up every one and a half hours every night to be fed, fed for half an hour, went to sleep, an hour and a half later woke up again to be fed, etc etc. All night. Every night. Most mothers of new babies are completely sleep-deprived.

I think milo is adjusting well to buddy, although better than he did with teddy, Teddy never wanted to leave milo alone. Buddy is a lot more calm, milo seems to like that .

I think milo is adjusting well to buddy, although better than he did with teddy, Teddy never wanted to leave milo alone. Buddy is a lot more calm, milo seems to like that .
