I agree with yours statement about men freaking out over the author being a woman, it’s sexist, but the video it’s not about that. She doesn’t mean that it is shocking that a man could write a good book, she probably likes romance books and men are usually known for writing women badly in romance books (when it comes to their emotions and anatomy) so she is shocked that a man wrote a good romance book.
