- In this video I modify the Vevor belt grinder so it can run a more common sized 2"x72" abrasives belt. After a few attempts I cut a total of 4 inches off and while testing it out I was extremely surprised at the overall performance change from the old 2"x82" belt vs. the smaller 2"x72" belt. That grinder looks like one of the best buys around, but why in the world didn't you go with the extra $100 for the variable speed? I'll bet with the small wheel attachment that speed will get the bears really hot. Just think, $1K for a variable speed 2X72 (with your mod) with 12" contact wheel, small wheel setup, and flat platen. What a deal!

shit sounds whispering and extremely loud machine noises makes sense but I don't like it
For the price it's a very solid setup. Definitely works much better being modified..
