I just don’t like the overly sampled drums. Ruins all I love about deftones and Abe’s drum tones over the years. Everything else is pretty good. Guitar tone is pretty good and screams are decent.

Dude, you are missing out. They're one of those bands that has incredible sound design and is very influential for a lot of bands.
Deftones always got lumped in with the whole Nu Metal scene but their hardcore influences always set them apart. Incredible band.
