South Floridian here. It's interesting you come at it from the angle of immigrants and how they assimilate the the culture in Miami. Also the fact that they take part in the American way of life so quickly now because of media and how easily they can get access to the way the country operates. I'd add, immigrants, specially ones that come from welfare state type of countries, do end up assimilating to the work ethic and work centric lifestyle of the US. A positive to come out of their assimilation into the culture. Great video
What I notice is a lot of immigrants from the caribbean islands and Africa that come here to NYC are working as nurses. It's nice to see when they go for a profession that helps people.

I loved Miami. It’s such a clean city and homeless is visibly non-existent compared to major cities in CA. I don’t think I could live there though since the wages are trash relative to the cost of living, and the people in Miami seem very fake and trying to keep up with the joneses with their money flashing. It doesn’t feel like real life. If I had to live in Florida I’d probably live somewhere that feels more like normal life like Tampa or Ft Lauderdale. Nice place to vacation though.
